The Stuffed Olive - Cedar Falls — Restaurant in Cedar Falls

This used to be my favorite place to go when we lived locally, but something has certainly changed in the service and quality of food and martinis. We chose to sit on the patio to enjoy the summer evening and people watch while catching up with our friends.

We ordered our first round of martinis and my husband ordered the cable car martini that I have made many times for him after our trip to Las Vegas where we were first introduced to it. Upon observing the Cable Car martini, I noticed it didn't have a rim of sugar/cinnamon to the waitress. She informed me it's not how they make it and half the price of a martini in Vegas. He drank his martini and had a second, so he was enjoying it even without the rim of sugar/cinnamon.

My husband decided we should eat something and ordered the jerk chicken. It arrived overcooked and horribly chewy, which by the time she came to check on us had been consumed as we were hungry. We did not complain about this, as the food was a necessity with the martinis.

A fourth person joined our party and ordered a beer. When it arrived it was lukewarm. Again, no complaint, just noting it on this review.

The ultimate insult and the reason for this review was when I ordered a martini with cream in it - it curdled before I drank half. When I asked why it curdled, the waitress snarked off that we were sitting on the patio and it warmed up too fast. She informed me that you have to drink that martini fast. I wish I had known that beforehand, as half a curdled martini was left on the table and my stomach was churning.

In the past I have had only one other martini ever curdle and the bartender apologized and made me a new martini. This happened at the same establishment and they were immediate about taking care of the bad martini. This time we received an attitude and bad explanation, so we payed the...

We where in last night with a group of 4.. Sat in the upper part of the cocktail area. While watching the server there server a large party of 9-10 Afican American people, she was the worse server I have ever seen.. She told all of them she couldn't server them unless everyone had an ID when one gentleman started to tell her his was in the car she told him as a company we id everyone after 6pm here, I quote her " it's our company policy".. Keep in mind this was the father of this group he looked 45-50 ish.. This wouldn't have been a problem for me and my table if it really was the company's policy. She came over to our table a table full of Whites if I may say and never asked for our Id, she then did this to 3 other white tables.. I was really disappointed, while the family was ending their night there myself and Wife stood up and offered an apology on behalf of all if I may say again White Poeple that don't see color. I think that this girl should be fired and taught that you treat everyone the same no matter what color they are.. We come in a lot. After talking with my wife this morning we have chosen never to go back unless an open Apology, is done.. The manger walked over to this table and offered them stuffed Olive Bucks, I feel that you can't pay someone off with money after your employee just embarrassed them openly.. THIS WAS NOT OKAY..

We arrived at 5:30 sat at a table for 10 minutes before getting 2 waters and a menu, there was three of us. We had to ask multiple times to get the third water. We noticed in the menu that food was 25% off before 6pm, it was 5:40 at this point and we asked if that was everyday. The waitress did say yes and said she would be right back, we didn't see her agian untill after 6. (No 25% off) We each ordered drinks and food with one sampler of olives. The food was incredibly slow and we were about to leave until one person got their food. The drinks finally came about 10 minutes after the first person's food. The olives showed up about 10 minutes after the drinks, we were excited until we found mold (legit fuzzy mold) on the end and inside of two olives. We had already ate three. The other two foods showed up in about 10 minute intervals. We basically had to beg for refills of water. We felt as if we were a nuisance. Other than the moldy olives and poor service, the food was ok but it was hard to enjoy after knowing something that nasty was put on a plate and served. I've never left a review on anything before and I can put up with alot, but visiting this place just rubbed me wrong the...
