I just went today for the first time and came in with a plan. I made a list of items I wanted and forgot to add an item. That was on me, but I never got to realize I didn’t add it due to what happened later. The kiosk told me I owed $171.40. The cashier said $171.50 and it’s ten cents, I wasn’t worried. I also knew that I’d pay a $3 fee for using a card. Having had $176 on my card, that was no problem. The issue came when the first rounded my purchase to $175. I initially thought this was the fee. I had enough so it was okay, but then I saw it go as high as $178, meaning I was now $2 short. The cashier told me I could use the atm. It’s one of those atms that only lets you do increments of $20. So I would need to take out $180, which if I had, I would’ve just been able to use the card in the first place. I’d also have been charged a fee from the atm and my bank. So I’d have still had to spend $185 to get out $180 to spend $172 of it. I had to call and ask to be sent more money which was already embarrassing. I had spoken to two people on the phone during the week mentioning I was planning to take my first visit. When I went in, everyone knew I’d never been there. I get that the system is not the cashier’s fault, but why did no one think to tell me about this? A lot of people don’t just have extra money for unexpected fees. So then I call to ask to be sent more money and they’re telling me I can’t be on the phone even though their lack of assistance is why I needed to be on the phone anyway. They pull you in with a pretty price point but don’t warn you about fees. Another issue I have is their rewards program. Another dispensary in the area has a program where you can earn varying amounts on everything you spend. Ascend only allows you $5 off after you spend $250, and the coupon is off if a purchase. You can not use it as a credit, it only can go toward your purchase and not cover it entirely. At the other dispensary, I often rely on being able to accumulate my rewards quickly and spend them as money when I have enough to buy something. Ascend requires you to have money to put with it no matter how many rewards you save up. When they rounded my total up, I did get change back but that only helps if you have the money on your card in the first place. I didn’t have it and had to ask someone to lend it to me just for it to be put right in my hand and not actually be spent. To leave with one less item than I was supposed to have AND wind up spending more than I should have, I’m extremely frustrated. The cashier did ask if I wanted to complete my deal with the final item but I had already done the math and didn’t want to risk going over. I went over anyway just to not have everything I...

Last week I came in search of a good product for vaping. I have been smoking for years but something about the vape oils KILLS my throat. I love the "budtenders" at dispensaries as having worked in the service industry bartender and in cosmetology (hair/makeup) it's a great feeling to help inspire people like myself that are veterans in the craft and love trying new things and sharing experiences. As well as, people brand new that need help and guidance thru the process. When I enter places I like to ask for recommendations and what the person themselves have tried and how they like it. Sometimes it's phenomenal and sometimes it's ehh. Whatever the outcome it is always a pleasurable experience discussing favorite hobbies with those that share your feelings. Insert Dominica, one of the sweetest, kindest, and beautifully souled people on this planet. She shared her experiences with me and had the similar effects with the vape products. The sheer excitement she showed in describing her experience with the 'Double Bear: Live Sauce "Jawa Lemon Crunch" ' I mean girlfriend did not miss a BEAT when she dropped that ENTIRE name on the spot (lol). I tried it and fell in LOVE! I went back today and had the pleasure of working with Maria (also one of the kindest and beautiful souls) that also recommend an awesome shake. I ended my experience with Cass who is AWESOME! She and I vibe out while I waited for my order. I also want to interject that earlier today when I was in, yes it was EXTREMLY busy however, the staff were professional, and courteous while being FRIENDLY. They worked together beautifully to help move the line that formed in a timely fashion. Overall, if you're in the area and have the time take a moment to had a 'budchat' with your local budtender. You never know where the journey may take you. P.S. " 'Tipping' it's not a country in China" I've waited years to say that as an ex-bartender... tip your service people. Evry little bit helps especially if you feel they went above and beyond to...
Read more1 year+ and it looks like they just opened. The pictures on google reviews are 100% a different location bc this one had no decor or TVs displaying adverts or products. Also, the ones the store put up of inside are not this location. These reviews are for a different location as a whole, mixed up, and/or the ppl working/running the store had friends review.
the app literally has nothing still for the location, so I guess they just never set it up? Why spam your store with a QR code that is a dead app for your location after a year+ of being open?
The reception area to fill out my information for going the first time took way too long. The guy couldn't figure out how to scan the card and input the info correct. I wouldn't care in general but a line formed just trying to get inside and made me a bit awkward to be the reason. Leading into the next part taking too long also.
The actual transaction area is a big open room with no information on the products they have, aside from a single sheet of paper with 10ish strains at the tablets. I asked if the cashier had recommendations and just got "uhh" for response. So, I just ended up getting "whatever was cheap" to avoid questions with the cashier.
the card machine doesn't connect properly and is very slow. waited for the guy next to us to be free to fix the issue and custom input my total only to have to repeat that bc they didnt take credit, only debit. That was another few min wait for him to come back over, not his fault specifically just why are your payment machines dogwater?
After all is said and done, the cashier gave me a 3.5 when I wanted a 7 (they were the one to say 7, I never said a number - I just agreed saying yes that is good). I just didnt argue with anything and left.
Idk if it ia Ascend as a whole, but this location was a...
