My first visit to Valon was a wonderful experience in every way. First impression is of a very attractive, immaculate salon. The receptionist was most welcoming and I was offered a beverage. First class introduction! Next, I met Dana, who was to cut my hair. Since it was my first time seeing her, I was very impressed that she took the time to talk with me, examine my hair, and listened carefully to what I was aiming for in a hair cut. Next came the most delightful shampoo and head massage I have ever had with a hair wash by the shampoo lady. Wonderful experience is just not enough to express how that shampooing felt!!! Then to the stylist, Dana, was a pro, no question. I quickly relaxed and just watched her talented hands and scissors worked over my entire head. Never once did I fear she would cut it too short or take a detour from my wishes. I could see my hair falling into a shape that would be easy for me to manage with minimal fuss. I just loved the end result.....best haircut I have had in a very long time!!! Received a spa pedicure and shellac manicure today. I was asked to come in earlier than my original appt time which was fine. When I got to the pedicure room with my nail tech, Samantha, she let me know that she wasn't supposed to come in today because they forgot that she was supposed to have the day off. She told me "I had to come in for your appt". I felt bad but I didn't specifically ask for her. After that I just felt like I was inconveniencing her.

The spa pedicure was fine and worth the money but I did not receive a full manicure that I paid $55 for. The manicure was literally just the shellac polish. Samantha did not soak my nails and trim my cuticles/dead skin like she did for the pedicure. Since I knew she was leaving right after my appt I could tell that she was rushing a bit so she could go. I didn't feel like saying anything and just wanted to go. I noticed later that the shellac was not fully cured when I got home.

Really disappointed as my first experience here was fine. I believe Samantha is normally a great nail tech but today just didn't go well because the scheduling staff treated her unfairly by making her come in on her...

I’ve been here twice now, once for a haircut and once for waxing, and I had a great experience both times. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming right from the moment you walk in the door. The stylist who did my haircut was very sweet and talked to me extensively about my hair history and goals before starting the cut. She also recommended several products that would be beneficial for my specific hair type. The salon keeps a variety of products in stock, so I was able to buy one of the recommended products on my way out the door. The pricing was reasonable, and I believe they mentioned that they offer price matching as well. My wax appointment was equally as wonderful. I am usually nervous about trying out a new spot for waxing, but Linsey was very sweet and made me feel very comfortable. The service was quick, and I was in and out in less than 45 minutes.
