Sad to say I will no longer be a guest at Amazing Nails. The other day I received the worst pedicure Ive ever had. I rarely had issues at Amazing Nails and whenever I did, it was remedied but I had requested either Tiffany or Lilian to do my pedicure. When I went in the salon, Lilian was doing someones nails and Tiffany was waiting for another guest. They gave me someone I had never seen or been serviced by before which was already strange to me because Lilian knows Im picky. I decided not to complain because I just figured Lilian wouldnt steer me wrong. I sit down, the woman does not greet me and then my horrible service began. She cut me multiple times while removing my toe gel polish, and every time I said ouch she told me the gel was tough. When she finally finished removing the gel, she put my feet in the water then quickly took one foot out and began to work on my cuticles(WITHOUT putting the cuticle cream to soften them). The entire time I kept telling her it was hurting and I also had to tell her multiple times how to shape my nails... being that she did not even ask. Lilian knew I was not happy because she kept leaving her guest to check on me. Eventually I got tired of having to watch this catastrophe and just let her finish the terrible job. She quickly washed my feet applied gel polish then “moisturized” my feet and then told me I was finished. She literally did not even pull my trousers back down or put my slippers on or even give them to me before she had already walked away. When I went to the front to pay, Lilian came and told me the price... $54. $54 for an extremely awful pedicure which I already knew I would have to get another elsewhere. I dont like to lose my composure so I decided to reach out to Lilian privately after I left. She refused to take accountability of the situation but rather made excuses for the woman such as “she was new and sick” and that she rolled the cameras back and everything was done correctly in my pedicure. Being that I have been going to this salon for over a year and have been getting pedicures for over 10 years, I was extremely offended, hurt, and appalled by her response. I gave her my feedback and wished them the best. I suggest if anyone decides they want to go to this salon they should be aware that #1, yelp reviews are very important, #2 NIKKI IS NO LONGER THERE, #3, if you are unhappy with your service, tell them before you pay... because you will leave with wasted money and empty promises otherwise. I’ve attached a photo of my foot when I got home after this beloved “pedicure”....
Read moreYesterday afternoon I decided to go to the salon and get a nail fixed that my usual nail tech Tiffany would do, unfortunately she was unavailable, so she sent me to another nail tech. I needed to get my index finger and my thumb redone as the acrylic was coming off- an unfortunate occurrence that happens pretty consistently to me almost every week after getting my nails done here. Not a fan of this and it should have been my indicator to not come back. Another technician, a woman who sits in the back at the second table, was trying to quickly take off the nail on my index finger so she slid a plastic acrylic underneath my nail- what she did instead was slice through my own nail bed and ripped the skin off of my finger. I am not new to acrylics so the sharp pain immediately let me know something was wrong. She dismissed my pain saying she could fix it- my finger immediately welled up with blood and began dripping all over her towel. I want to show you what was done to me in the picture enclosed.
Tiffany is a great tech- probably the only one that this salon employs that cares deeply about her customers. She had always done right by me, but this job by the other tech was atrocious and I would not recommend this salon to anyone with the fear that something like this could happen to them.
My index finger’s nail bed was essentially torn off after prying the acrylic off of my nail- lots of blood (and antiseptic) was spilled and this botched job at a simple repair is unacceptable. Not only that, but the nail tech refuses to admit, she is the cause of the problem-somehow this is not her fault. Do not. I repeat -do not- come here if you value your hands and your health. The likelihood of me getting an infection from this is pretty high and I’m thankful that as of right now I’m fine. The manager was not notified of this incident. Maybe this will give management an idea of how poor the service can be from this particular manicurist. Choose...
Read moreThey do a good job with nails, however I am left feeling disappointed with my service yesterday. I had made an appointment for Saturday at 11am days in advance. When I showed up for my appointment, and after I had sat in the chair and selected a color, I was told by an employee that I would not be seen until later and that I would have to wait. I was pushed to reschedule for another time. This is very frustrating because I was already there and scheduled my day around this. I picked another time and was told they would give me a discount for the inconvenience. I was also told my nail tech was going on vacation for 2 months starting the following day so I could not re-schedule for any other day. During my rescheduled appointment, another customer had walked by my nail tech mentioning how she will see her at her appointment next week. This tells me the 2 month vacation was a lie, which put a bad taste in my mouth. When it was time to pay and I mentioned the discount, my nail tech acted as if she had no idea what I was talking about. She would not give me the discount and I ended up having to pay full price. I know others who go here and they have had similar experiences very regularly - they do not prioritize appointments, and instead prioritize walk-ins which is very frustrating. It would be appreciated if they could give us a courtesy call/text if our appointment needs to be pushed BEFORE we show up, and to honor their offered discounts. Edit: They did reach out to me and apologize/offer another discount, which was...
