I went to Sephora and received the worst service ever. The lady who helped me claimed to be the manager. She was a heavy set woman named Maricol. I went in looking for a foundation and she rudely told me it was being phased out and they donât carry it in store. I asked her if she could assist me with color matching for a new line. She became annoyed and began to help me. As soon as she saw a customer she offered to assist them and left abruptly, although there was another employee available and the store was empty. I asked her if she could provide me with a sample of setting powder so I could try it at home with a new concealer I was purchasing and she refused. She said, âI donât do that.â I asked her multiple times if she could clarify what that meant and she kept repeating to that this is something she does not do. She also said she couldnât give me a sample because there was no way for her to get the powder out of the container. For anyone who wears make up, we all know that setting powder is loose and thereâs no reason why she couldnât scoop it out of the container. Then I informed her that it was never an issue at my local Sephora and she said it was against store policy. I then told her it was fine that I would go ahead and take my birthday gift (because it is my birthday month) and purchase my makeup that I had. She said they were completely out of every birthday gift. Sephora always has multiple gift types available so for them to be completely out of every single gift was obviously not true and this was not reflected on their display. Maricol was disrespectful and discriminatory to me the moment I came into the store and refused to provide me with service and denied me my birthday gift. Iâm not sure whatâs wrong with her but it seems she had a personal issue. I was never rude to her or disrespectful I just walked out empty handed. I left and immediately went to another Sephora were I received excellent service, was given a sample of the same exact product Marciol said she just didnât want to give me, and I got my birthday gift with great service. Shame on you Maricol for treating me like that when I came in kind and looking for some help. Get a new job because obviously customer service isnât for you and you have no knowledge of makeup lines or...
Read moreI had a horrible customer experience with a cashier. There was no one in line for the in-person cashiers and she had her back turned from the counter. When she turned around she immediately said, âAre you paying either credit or debit card?â And I said yes so she immediately says to go pay at self-checkout even though no one is line. I tell her sorry and I just had a question about this item. I say, âI found it in the clearance rack and itâs suppose to have three bras and only has one on it. Will the price be $30 for it still?â She seems irritated with me and says the price should be there already. (It isnât) So she rings it up and immediately is upset with me and says why did you say it was on clearance? I say I found it in the clearance rack and it only comes with one bra so thatâs why I was asking about the price of it. She is still mad and says well itâs not on clearance and points and says you can find this bra in the regular section most likely with all three bras. So I put my hands up and say ok well thatâs just where I found it and I leave. I donât understand why I had to be treated with unkindness due to the lack of organization and placements of items in a store. At Target, they always price match and help figure out prices for items that are missing and apologize for any mishaps and I donât have to look at the front of the store for help. I immediately left and will not be returning. I donât know the name of the cashier but she was an older African American women with a more full body figure at the Cerritos location on a...

Kohl's, where frugal fashionistas go to look good for less.
What keeps me coming back to Kohl's, again & again, are the enticing specials Kohl's card & rewards members receive. Coupons up to 30% off in the mail, $10 in Kohl's Cash with a $50 purchase & email coupons for $10 off convince me to make it rain in here - the best thing being is that you can combine all for a smorgasbord of savings!
Just imagine - using all these fabulous discounts for the rad clearance items that tickle your fancy. We're talking keeping cash money in your wallet, toots!
Service has been good - at the register, at customer service and from the employees on the floor. My only gripe is that the lines tend to be long. On my recent visit, a manager at the front was directing shoppers to the next available registers, used her walkie to put out an APB for available cashiers to the front, alleviating the wait in line. At least Kohl's is actively trying to curb the wait, which I salute.
Parking is in the Cerritos Towne Center & is usually not a problem.
On any given day, you can find me rummaging through the men's clearance section, looking for that next collar shirt to wow the opposite sex or pair of pants to highlight my double onion badonkadonk, coupons gripped tightly in my penny-pinching mitts.
Hey, a guy's gotta looks his best...
