Cashier guy at the counter tried to scam me. I gave him a $20 bill but he tried to pretend that I gave him just a $5 bill. I pointed out that I gave him a $20. He stupidly asks me "How much did you give me?" with a big sleazy grin. I answered that I gave him $20. I know he knows I gave him a $20 because I laid that $20 bill flat on the counter where he can see it and I saw him look at the $20 bill. He tried to laugh it off with another strange middle aged dude that was there who did not look like he worked there but was standing close by (for reasons unknown) and obviously listening to us. They were both giggling like little children when I turned my back on them. I turned to look at them both but they averted their heads and looked away. I think they're running a scam on unwitting costumers or scamming the owners via wrong change scams when the opportunity is ripe.
