Today was my first time at smoothie king and the employees were not very friendly, especially the cashier taking my order. I was not greeted and when I asked for her to add extra protein to my drink she smacked her lips. I paid for the extra protein and noticed when they handed me my smoothie, half of drink with protein that I paid for was left in the blender, when I asked the girl who made my smoothIe if I could have the remaining smoothie that was left in the blender ( they were going to toss it away anyways) the lady who took my order( cashier who had an attitude to begin with) came to the front and said “ nope we can’t do that, you gonna pay for another cup? “ I explained to her I paid extra for the protein for it to just be tossed just because it did not fit in the cup I asked for, she argued back and fourth with me and instead of hearing my concerns she took a phone call and left. When she noticed I was not going anywhere she came back again and said “ no we can’t give you the rest of the smoothie in the blender “ ( that I paid for ) and told me next time you should order a bigger size “ I explained to her I used my rewards and is free up size Friday. She ignored me and again said “ you should have ordered a bigger size “ while going back and fourth she grabbed some small sample cups and she said “ I can put some of it in one of these cups. You should know to order a bigger size. “ I let her know this was my first time here and she said “ you’ve never ordered a smoothie before?” Long story, she only ended up giving me two cups of the samples and they ended up throwing away the remaining smoothie that was left in the blender, as I left I could hear her talking about me to her co workers. Read moreThis was by far my worst experience with Smoothie King. I have been to various SM across the country and have been going to them since 2011 (when they offered punch cards) and on this particular day I received the worst possible service. Upon entering the store, the tenant did not greet us or acknowledge our presence. We walked to the counter and looked at the menu for at least a minute before politely saying hello gain some type of recognition from her. In an unpolished manner she said, "I will be with y'all afterwhile." We stood there a little while longer before she said, "I'm guessing y'all are paying with cash or card since y'all are standing at the register." This made us feel even more unwelcomed, but we replied yes. She then came over to take our order but cut my companion off when she asked a question about a particular menu item in a "you should already know this or why are you asking me type of manner". Once she finished taking our order, a separate customer walked into the store to which she greeted him with the upmost of pleasantries and warmth... unlike us. She gave him his order and even gave him well wishes with the rest of his day. As she completed our order, she placed our order in the cupholders and said nothing else. Not even that they were ready. The overall rudeness and attitude of this server has turned me off from wanting to revisit this store. Read moreTen minutes after I paid for my order by credit card, my smoothie had not even been started. Another patron (who ordered before me and was also waiting) and I both inquired about the delay. The sole employee on duty was on the phone, speaking to someone she claimed was the manager, and informed us that she was having issues with the cash drawer.
However, neither I nor the other customer had paid in cash—we both paid by card. We asked for a refund due to the excessive wait and lack of progress on our orders, as no smoothies had even been started due to the sole employee being on the phone the entire time. The employee stated she was unable to issue a refund and instead gave us the manager’s business card.
