Grapes & Grains Wine & Spirits — Local services in Chamblee

Grapes & Grains came highly recommended by a couple of our Brookhaven neighbors. My husband & I recently visited the Brookhaven location. We were excited to purchase several items on our list but left without buying anything. They have a nice selection of spirits & wines but are extremely lacking in customer service experiences. When we entered the store the associate at the register made eye contact but failed to greet us or welcome us in. As we were browsing the entire store several different associates passed by and none of them greeted us or offered assistance. Unfortunately we will not return to this location as we still value customer service. This was my second time shopping at Grapes & Grains Wine & Spirits, and unfortunately, I left with the same feeling of being unwanted. Staff made no effort to acknowledge me when I entered or while waiting in line. A man cut in front of me, and although the clerk saw it happen, nothing was said.

When it was finally my turn, the clerk grabbed my ID right out of my hand, then later slammed it back on the counter. After finishing my purchase, he tucked the receipt into the case and slid it across without so much as basic courtesy. Only when I specifically asked for a bag did he reluctantly provide one.

Overall, I felt dismissed and disrespected both times I visited. Customer service matters, and this location...

Very poor customer service from Thomas, who seemed to be very disconnected from reality...Seemed to enjoy his "position" in overcharging for an item, without warning, and failing to offer any type of remedy other than that's not the price and that's gonna be fixed, I guarantee....Dude...what about the customer you charged, nearly twice as much, in person...totally missed it....would not shop there again...
