My Favorite Place — Local services in Chamblee

Just visited this place recently, but I have been coming for the past 26 years sporadically just to find my own personal gems. Each time that I have come in there was never a warm welcome for their visitors. They sit around complaining, no energy, no happy welcome whatsoever. I thought that maybe because I was a minority I was receiving this treatment, but seeing some of the reviews from their past, this is a common thing for this establishment. This place used to be such a treasure trove of gems for extremely reasonable prices. I used to shop here weekly if not more often. The past few years however things have changed. The quality of the items has gone down significantly yet the prices have gone up! They’re selling literal trash in some cases. Most of the staff are pleasant but there’s one man that has apparently decided he doesn’t like me for some unknown reason. I’d been told several times that they give everyone 10% off so they feel like they’re getting a good deal. Yet whenever this particular man checks me out, he never gives me the discount! Everyone else gives me the discount without even being prompted, it’s just him. I have never said an unkind word to him or anyone else and I don’t haggle over the prices, so I’m completely bewildered as to why he doesn’t like me but it’s abundantly clear that he doesn’t. It makes me feel incredibly unwelcome and as a result, I rarely shop...

Fantastic place. The people are great. The items are great. The nooks and crannies of the store are so much fun. I can (and do) spend a couple hours in here each time. Everything is really affordable and looks pretty good. There's a little bit of everything from jewelry to furniture to suitcases and old leather jackets. I've found so much cool stuff in here it's always so much fun. I actually take my friends in here when we want to do something fun. The jewelry bags are always very fun to look at, though i do wish they could be actually displayed so you could buy individual jewelry because I'm sure there's some great finds, but I'm a minimalist who doesn't want to have a bunch of things i won't use. Honestly i would probably come in and volunteer to sort their jewelry for them. I guess right now the jewelry is in bags because it saves time, but they'd probably make more money selling them individually. Even if some of it...
