After reading these reviews guessing this one because it isn’t a good review maybe overlooked, I hope not. I went with my daughter to Champaign appliances to purchase a kitchen package of which they don’t offer. You have to buy individual pieces. Ok, she took her measurements and gave to salesman. But what she wanted only came in a certain size she was perfectly willing to change colors but in the confusion of looking for all three pieces the salesman wrote down the size of the refrigerator not in the size she needed but in the size it came in. Long store short he sent an email with prices and stock number no size was shown. She looked at the website picture as we all would and yep that’s the picture I want. But thinking like all of us she never looked at the size after all she had given the size she needed to the salesman. All came In and Fridge will not work on and the owner actually was the installer. Walked out said it was hers and left the refrigerator in the middle of her kitchen. She and her husband have tried unsuccessfully to get this company to fix this issue. The owner installer has called her a liar refuses to even talk to her about correcting this error. So people please buyer beware this company may show good reviews but please be careful when you shop there because when you purchase something and an error is made they call you a liar and walk away from you. Do not shop at Champaign Appliances on Bloomington Rd. If an error is made at Home Depot, Lowes and Menards the customer is right and they do take returns and makes sure the customer gets what they want. They aren’t called liars...
Read moreGreat family owned business! I previously purchased appliances from them around 15 years ago, so when I was in the market for 3 new appliances in my kitchen - Refrigerator, Cook top and Double Oven - I decided to reach out for a quote. This was in November 2024, and I was concerned about getting them delivered and installed prior to Thanksgiving since I had agreed to cook the family meal this year. Doug is the sales person that I worked with initially, and his son Andrew handled most of the email communications. Doug's brother Dave has his own business doing the installations for them, which included coming out to measure and assess what would be needed to replace my 1970's Cook Top and my built in double oven from 1961. I ordered all GE Appliances - Stainless Steel - and absolutely love them. I had purchased a LG Refrigerator previously from Home Depot. The LG product was a waste of money - not to mention the most expensive appliance I had ever purchased, so I expected it to last! After 6 years it stopped cooling as it should and the freezer stopped working all together. Doug, Andrew & Dave were able to get the new appliances delivered and installed one week before Thanksgiving. I compared pricing with the big box stores for the same models, and Champaign Appliance was able to beat their prices - not to mention I now have a local, family owned company to go for support if needed. I would highly recommend giving Champaign Appliance the opportunity to win...
Read moreFrom the moment we walked into Champaign Appliance Center until we left, we felt appreciated and that we had definitely gone into the right place to get our new dishwasher. Doug went above and beyond to assist us by answering all our questions and in a way that made us feel comfortable and not pressured in any way. I would recommend anyone who wants new appliances, to go see Doug at Champaign Appliance Center. As we were shopping earlier today at a competitor, we ran into a woman who we did not know, but had a nice chat with. We mentioned that we were headed to Champaign Appliance next. Ironically while Doug was helping us choose the perfect dish washer, this woman came into his shop. We left before she got completely done, but I am pretty sure that she bought a stove, refrigerator, microwave, and dish washer. The really nice thing about buying your appliances from Doug, is that you have someone in your corner who will help you out with whatever problems may arise concerning your appliances and that is priceless. There is definitely something to be said about the benefits of shopping at local mom and pop shops rather than the big box. When we need another appliance, we will certainly be paying Doug a visit at Champaign...
