Hunters Haven — Local services in Champaign

Love the hobby shop like the kid who worked on my truck. Looking for a place to help teach me but no one seems to have time. Not saying this happened here meant because other shops are not as nice. You have been out of driveshafts for stampede but site is out and your employee makes it better, he is why the stats stayed at 5 star. I come in with 1200usd to make sure I can cover everything everytime keep selling me the best and offer me your best opinion and I'll stay happy. So far it's the best place for me because the employee wasn't annoyed with me. I'm new and looking to stay in hobby I just need help. I bought my second car in 2 weeks my stampede is cheap I guess. On my second charger because the other store offered me a cheap charger that cost me more money Didn't buy it from here but this will be my go to shop and it's 30miles further than CRC but it's better environment here. And they have driveshafts but I'll buy...

Honest experience at the shop was awesome. The guy I talked to was very welcoming however after just a few short months later, the strings and cables I had replaced are shot. Mainly just the cables and the nock serving. The bottom cable started to fray after just a few weeks. I let it go not thinking it was a big deal until today. I took my bow to another pro shop to see if they could sort my peep twist out. They then told me the cable on the bottom is shot. It has a break in the string. I've only had the bow back since april. I also haven't had any sort of abrasions by me on the cables or string. I will need a replacement for sure. They also said the top yokes had no twist in them what so ever. They told me that the tech at the previous shop (hunters haven) just slapped them on. Honestly just disappointed now more than anything. Out of town for a 3d shoot and didn't bring my main bow. 1 out of 5 stars, would not recommend...

Very impressed with the customer service and prices here. I know nothing about bows, by my son does archery for school and has been interested in shooting a bow since he was little. The owner, Cole, works pretty much every day and took the time to help us make sure we got what we needed. From the first bow we got there years ago to the one we just bought that follows the school tournament regulations. He allowed us to trade in the first bow to put towards the new one we got used. Cole put new strings on it for us and made sure we bought the correct arrows, etc. I’m extremely thankful I was able to get a bow for my son that Hunter’s Haven made affordable for us. They also have a shooting range at extremely reasonable rates. I normally associate small businesses with higher prices, but that’s not the case here. Extremely professional, helpful, and affordable.
