The worst furniture buying experience I have ever had. When I went into the store, no one greeted or spoke at all. Four employees were standing by the register and only one was helping a customer. I looked around, found what I wanted, looked up information online about the beds, and went to tell someone what I wanted to buy. I purchased 2 loft style beds. I was told they would be in the store in a week and they would call to set up delivery. I was told the beds would be assembled when they were delivered. I was satisfied with my purchase, so I waited... and waited. After 2 weeks, I called to ask about the beds. I was told they didn't know what happened, but the beds were in Colarado! They apologized and said they would be in the store in one week. 2 weeks later, they called to tell me the beds were in and schedule a delivery date and time. We scheduled and moved forward. I cleaned my girls rooms out and made space for the beds. On the morning of delivery (today), I received a call from Matt telling me they would NOT assemble the beds. What?! He apologized and said that when Andrew took the order he made a mistake in telling me they would assemble the beds. He says the beds I ordered are the ONLY beds they do not assemble because they are the MOST difficult beds to assemble. Wait... what? So the most difficult beds to assemble are dropped off in pieces for the customer to figure out on their own? I told him I cannot assemble the beds and only ordered from them knowing they would assemble the beds. He offered to refund my delivery charge. Read moreIf I could give 0 stars, I would. I purchased a couch based on a certain expectation, that the sectional pieces were customizable and would be seamless. Upon FIRST, SECOND, and THIRD delivery, there was 1-2 ince gap in between two reclining pieces. Each delivery person indicated, "that's just the way it is made." I can see through the couch to the carpet. I called to set up delivery for the third time on a Friday, asking they check the pieces prior to deliver in the warehouse. They indicated they would call me back prior to Tuesday to confirm. No one called. I asked the delivery people prior to them wasting time to carry the replacement pieces inside if this was done in the warehouse. They responded with, "oh I'm sure they did." Obviously, no one did. I now have a couch with a 1 inch gap.
My issue with the store was no communication, no solution provided other than continuing to redeliver, and never proactive and called me.
I was upset with the customer service but didn't lose it until today. I received a late payment request (after the first two payments were successfully auto-drawn). I called their partner bank and they indicated that the system deleted the account and that I needed to re-enter the details to avoid the additional charge.
Add this frustration of ruining my credit to a couch that isn't worth what I paid....I would not recommend to any family or friend. This has been 3 months of an ongoing...
Read moreI visited the store to browse for a sleeper sofa during the Fourth of July sale and came across the perfect one. Andrew Lee at the Champaign location was a delight to work with. He was very informative and helpful in regards to the sofa. I was having a hard time deciding which color I wanted and he suggested taking a pillow from each to the windows for the natural light which helped make my decision easier. The spotlights made the colors appear different. I am waiting to receive the sofa still and will update my review upon delivery and function.
Update 11/4/2021: I received my studio sleeper sofa earlier this week and it has been incredible! It was definitely worth the wait. The delivery guys were friendly and handled the sofa with care. It was almost a 200 lbs box and they carried and dropped it off inside gently. My sister and I assembled the sofa ourselves which was super straight forward. The coverings used to wrapped each piece was high quality. I didn't notice any tears or rips to the material and the color was true to the store model. The sleeper portion glided with ease in and out. The cushions are just as comfy as they were in the store. I liked how the cushions were more on the firm side and the back pillows were more squishy. The cushion depth to back rest is something I really enjoyed too. Keeps your posture right while being comfortable too. Overall extremely pleased with this purchase...
