I'm really excited this restaurant has come to town. I will be eating here often! This is a healthy, relatively inexpensive, fast food Korean restaurant. Most importantly they are off campus with plenty of parking. I would say it has definitely been designed for the Western palate, but it's tasty.
Make sure you download the app. I placed my order through the app and for an order over $10 I was rewarded a free bowl on my next trip.
I was here on opening day and even though I placed my order from the parking lot it was ready within 2 minutes of my walking in the door. I had the original size tofu bowl for $9.49 with a ton of veggies. I could make 2 meals out of this size bowl. My family had the sampler with Korean BBQ beef and 2 flavors of chicken for $12.99 that could also definitely be 2 meals. If you just want a small meal, they offer a bibicup for $5. Purple rice has a nice chew to it. If you don't tolerate spice you're going to have a bad time with the gochujang, but I highly recommend trying it. It has a nice underlying fruit flavor. The kimchi is vegan, and as a person with a shellfish allergy I'm grateful. They are also peanut and gluten free. They have several interesting tea and lemonade flavors, one of them being black currant which is almost unheard of in this country. They offer meatless Mondays for an additional 20% off your order of a veggie bowl. Nice! Also free miso soup, which I find you either love or you don't, but it's free so give it a try.
TLDR: fast healthy food at a good price, download the app and...
Read moreIf you're looking for a dining experience as delightful as a warm muffin fresh from the oven, look no further than Bibibop where the only thing bigger than the menu is the heart of its manager, Joe.
From the moment you step in, you're greeted by an atmosphere that's as inviting as a bear hug from a fluffy teddy bear—especially if that bear were also a 125-pound home-cooked meal. The decor is whimsically charming, with enough quirky touches to keep you entertained while you’re waiting for your food, which, let's be honest, can be as leisurely as a Sunday stroll... in a doughnut shop.
Now, let's talk about the food. Each dish is crafted with love, making every bite a bit of heaven. The Korean BBQ is to die for and they are not stingy like Panda with the meat!!
Service here is superb. You can’t get much better than a manager who’s truly invested in his customers. Joe knows just how to make you feel special, just like that warm and fuzzy feeling of wearing a moo-moo when mowing.
So if you’re in the mood for delicious food served in an atmosphere bursting with personality (and a healthy sprinkle of love, Bibibop is the place to be. Just be prepared to roll yourself home after indulging. And hey, if you see Joe, be sure to give him a hug—he's worth it and...
Read moreI had gone to a restaurant in this building several years ago where you built a bowl starting with a base and added protein etc. My son is vegetarian so it was a good place for a vegetarian. It is no longer there but this Asian grille is now there. You start with a base and add protein and toppings. It didn’t have an overwhelming number of options, but had a good variety. I had the Korean BBQ and my son had the tofu for our protein. We both really liked what we got. The servers preparing and making the bowls were very friendly and everything looked really clean. It is a big room with tables and not really anything to absorb the sounds so it was hard for my son, who is deaf, to hear (he wears a hearing aid and cochlear implant). We will most definitely come back! The prices were...
