I am writing to express my disappointment with the experience my family and I had at Outback Steakhouse during our recent visit. I normally enjoy dining at this location, but what happened yesterday has left me reconsidering whether I will return.
During our meal, our server accidentally dropped a tray of water. While accidents happen, the water was pushed towards our table and only partially cleaned with towels, leaving the floor extremely wet. Out of concern for the safety of other customers and staff, my mother politely suggested to the manager on duty, Hershely, that a wet floor sign should be placed in the area. Instead of addressing the concern appropriately, the manager responded with an attitude, rolled his eyes, and sarcastically asked my mother if she would like him to âwalk her out.â When she explained that we were still eating and waiting for dessert and the bill, he became more irritated and asked, âWhat do you want me to do, roll out the red carpet?â
This level of sarcasm and dismissiveness is unacceptable for a manager. After that exchange, he eventually threw down two small rugs and sarcastically asked, âAre you satisfied now?â Such behavior showed a complete lack of professionalism and courtesy.
In addition to this, there were multiple issues with our meal. I ordered a medium-cooked steak and was served a well-done steak that was dry and tasteless. Later, when I ordered a chocolate brownie cake for dessert, I was instead given a cheesecake with chocolate drizzle. When I pointed out that it was not what I had ordered, I was told I would still be charged for the brownie if I wanted to switch desserts. Considering the repeated mistakes and the poor handling of the situation, this was very disappointing.
At that point, my family and I decided it was best to end our meal early. What should have been an enjoyable dinner turned into a stressful and frustrating experience because of both the mistakes with our food and the managerâs unprofessional conduct.
I hope this feedback is taken seriously so that no other customers have to go through the same treatment. My family and I value good service and safety, and unfortunately, neither was upheld...
Read moreNot used to getting such poor customer service at Outback. My wife and I were traveling and decided to have a late lunch/early dinner here. We sat at the bar, per our usual, and after about 7 minutes the bartender finally showed up (she had been seated at a table talking to a different server, it was not very busy). Another couple had sat down shortly before the bartender showed up. She did not have a friendly or warm attitude, it was more like âreally, I have to work? After taking our drink order, and then the other coupleâs drink order, she served them first, no big deal. And then took their food order first. Taking our orders she didnât even come over to us, just stood by the register and asked us what we wanted (about 7 feet away). The other couple got their food and were probably about half finished before ours arrived. Oh, and she never even brought us bread, but she did for the other couple.
Once the food was finally delivered by the kitchen staff we asked for a extra small plate and some ketchup which the kitchen staff promptly delivered, and then the other couple asked the person for something too as the bartender had never checked on whether any of us needed anything. She finally did when we were almost finished eating. Another couple (elderly) also did not receive bread and it took forever for the bartender to take their drink order. They had some questions about the menu and the bartender seemed very annoyed by this. We could tell they almost walked out.
Food was very average, not as good as what could normally be expected at an Outback.
Next time we are traveling through this area we will not be eating here. There are a lot of other options where they might actually be happy to take our money in exchange for a pleasant...
Read moreMy Son & I decided to go see a movie this weekend and wanted to try to get Prime Rib from here as the last 3 times we have been here they have come out and told us they were out. Well this time was no different. The service started out very bad with us waiting almost 20 mins for our drinks to be ordered. After that we got a waiter that had been having a bad day it seems like, So we got another one (He and I didn't mix well. During all of this The Manager was running around to each table help everyone talking to everyone and going above and beyond what i have seen in this industry. At this time we had already placed our order he had apologized to us for everything a number of times. He comes back out to say i have more bad news we don't have what you Ordered. At this point all me and my son could do was laugh about it as this was the 4th time we had tried to get Prime Rib from here (We live over an hour away) I told the manger not to worry about it we would just order another steak. He kept apologizing, I told him it was out of his hands and for him to not to worry about it. He was busting table grabbing food for people handling anything and everything he could for his staff and the customers. What i have to say about all this. Is that the staff is very lucky to have a manager that cares enough to jump in and help no matter what the job is and to not stop no matter how bad the night got. We will return again to try our luck at the Prime Rib again. Big thanks to the staff and To the Manager thank you from me and my son for being such a good person and amazing manager to your staff...
