I've been shopping at DXL for years. I went in today and got some clothes which were great. The selection is awesome and I appreciate the quality they sell.
I made a few rounds putting stuff on the cashier register and went to get more!
The checkout was awesome because the staff was talkative; they interacted and assimilated with the conversation.
I got home and realized I had 5 pieces missing. I was furious. I called up and spoke to Vince. He was helpful, but I was completely upset that I paid for something I didn't get. We went through the motions. He checked the cameras; we exchanged 3 phone calls. Still not reaching a resolution.
Vince called me back and said he talked to the regional GM and if I came back with the purchased items they would replace the items I did not receive.
Here's where I fail... I went to bag up all the items and low and behold I found the missing items. It was never their fault.
A few take away points for me:
Vince could have hung up on me and refused to listen. He did not. The company could have refused and be unwilling to help me resolve this matter. They did not. I could have expressed the problem and waited days.. even weeks to find a resolution yet we figured it out the same day I called. I didn't have to wait for some manager or someone higher up to approve it which is surprising since it's a Saturday.
I had to call back and tell Vince I owed him an apology.
Summary: This is why I go to DXL because they have a high standard of service. I don't get messed with by incompetence because their employees are well trained and versed in dealing with customers. That makes my life better.
Thank you...
Read moreI'm thoroughly annoyed with the way the manager and her staff handled the situation they were presented with today. They will accuse customers of lying, and refuse to follow "company policy". My husband went in today to return a VERY expensive shirt.
We bought the shirt last week for a wedding. I packed the shirt and was happy to have one more thing checked off our list. Upon getting to the hotel for the wedding, I was in the middle of ironing the item only to notice the damage on it. The location(beach) we were at had no other DXL stores to exchange or return the item to, not to mention I didn't notice until a couple hours before. He had no other option but to wear the shirt for the hour and take it off immediately following.
He brought the shirt in today, told the manager what had happened and was accused of washing and wearing the item multiple times. The associate SMELLED the item AFTER he told her it's never been laundered. Who does that?!? We spend THOUSANDS of dollars on clothes at DXL. My husband was disrespected to the point where he would rather shop online or drive to a less convenient location because of the terrible service he...
Read moreJust walked out of this place with out being offered any help was told the basic hello and the basic good bye, observed other people that came in get asked if they needed help but not me, not sure if I was being judged by the way I was dressed cause I have on shorts with a faded black t-shirt and a backwards hat. If I was shouldn't have mattered as I was looking for dress clothes for my sister's wedding. I was looking at the dress shirts, slacks, vest and blazers. I even went closer the to rep working I believe her name was griselda to even try and give her a chance to ask if I needed help but nothing she made a comment on getting crickets in the store and having to clean them up. All while I was looking at a polo button up shirt...(hello sale!) It's very limited where people like me can go buy stuff to wear and this is one of the places.... Don't think I will want to step foot in here again. I live in Maricopa and this is the nearest place to me for big dress clothes, I rather drive further to another store if I'm going to be...
