I absolutely love coming to this salon. I love how welcome and comfortable everyone makes you feel and that every professional working there engages with you, even if you’re not receiving a service from them. You can tell how hard Rachel has worked at cultivating this inclusive and warm environment and has built a team that really embodies those values. I’ve recommended this salon so many times, I’ve lost count. Rachel is building a community in this salon, whether it’s adding little touches here and there in the salon itself to make it more inviting, or organizing events like paint nights and book club to bring people together. This is THE salon to go to, and I send people there any chance I get.

I’ve been seeing Jaslynn for my hair for over two years now, and she has always made me feel beautiful and comfortable. We’ve done so many fun things with my hair, and I’m glad for the times she’s also directed me away from a certain cut or color…lol the bangs I so badly thought I wanted 😂. I have very VERY thick hair, with mixed textures of straight, wavy, curly and even some course hair. The first time I saw Jaslynn, I hadn’t had my hair cut in over a year, and had never had a regular stylist because my hair is hard to manage. After the cut, color and style she gave me, I cried because I couldn’t recall the last time a stylist FULLY blow dried my hair and didn’t rush to finish up. Jaslynn takes her time and she genuinely wants you to leave feeling beautiful. For that, she’s gained a client for life! Whether she likes it or not haha.

In addition to seeing Jaslynn, I also recently saw Macy who performs excellent esthetician services. I had my lashes done for the very first time as a treat to myself for my birthday, and had such a great experience. Macy was kind, professional and explained everything she was doing along the way to make me feel comfortable. I’ve had so many compliments on my lashes, and I truly feel she made magic happen by making my eyes and face look brighter and younger. As someone who has mid experience with false lashes, one of my biggest gripes with them is that they are bulky and impact vision. The lashes Macy did for me are so light and so expertly placed that I can’t even tell I have them until I look in a mirror. I will certainly be planning to continue to see Macy as well not only because of the amazing job she did, but also because she, just like Jaslynn, genuinely wants you to leave feeling beautiful.

Edit to add: I am a plus sized person. The chairs, the capes, the washing stations and the esty setup can accommodate people with larger frames. I don’t know if many people pick up on that, but I notice it and I’m so grateful my body type is being planned for and thought of when...

I love this place!! I've been coming here for over a year now and the staff are so amazing! I've gotten sharpened up by both Kate and Marc and they're both so great at their job and make the best small talk. Lots of barber shops leave you feeling questionable if you're confident in your hair or not-- or make you feel bad for asking for an extra inch off... Sweet Salon? Nope. They make sure you're absolutely happy with what you get done and that you're leaving feeling and looking like the best you! The shop itself is soo cute and lovely. Super cozy and they even have puzzles and random stuff for you to do if you're a guest waiting. The place is kept super clean and tidy and they even offer a bunch of other products for you to look through! Kate recommended me a few products for my hair and they're so great with my hair! Also smell super amazing. Haircuts are super fairly priced and probably worth more! Shop is located inside of a building up a set of stairs, but it's super easy to find. There are also a few bathrooms directly next to the salon! Super convenient for that pre or post cut poo. Haha. Anyways! Definitely come here! Great people and even...

I have been seeing Rachel for over 10 years now and have followed her around the Twin Cities because she is an incredible stylist. I live in Roseville and drive to Chanhassen just to see her so that should tell you something. Rachel is kind, easy to talk to, and incredible at making your vision come to life. Additionally, she is working hard to make Sweet Salon into a safe and affirming place for LGBTQIA people and people of color to get salon services in the southwest suburbs. The salon itself is super cool and worth a visit just to snap a selfie by the mural or grab some hair products from the (adorable) bakery case. I can't recommend this...
