If I could rate them 0 stars I would. I attempted to purchase a cardigan sweater on 11/29/21 at the Charleston WV store. I had a 5.00 gift card which 7 workers could not input or get to work right. I left the item and went home. Later that evening I went online and selected the same item and proceeded to checkout. There was a box to input gift cards and promo codes. I entered my gift card number and it worked the immediately. I purchased the item and selected curbside pickup since I knew the store had the items when I had left. I called the store on the morning of 11/30/21 to make sure they had the item and ask if I could come get it. Worker (who I will leave unnamed) said they would put behind counter and I could come get it. When I got to the store the item was at the counter but they wouldn't let me have it although I had my receipt and had been told to come get it. The excuse was the order was still in processing and I would have to wait for the store to receive another sweater from the warehouse. Or I could buy another one and cancel the online order and they would go ahead and give the 5.00 off. Why was this not an option 18 hours earlier? I should have just left it but I purchased another one and called the 800 number to cancel the other order. At which time I was told it could not be canceled until the item was sent to the Charleston store. Then I would get an email and could cancel then. This was the biggest fiasco I have ever dealt with on a retail store purchase. Totally unnecessary and unacceptable customer service (or lack thereof). Hopefully I will be able to get the order canceled and get my refund. This was my first and last purchase...

The gentlemen working in the bow/crossbow section are terrific. My favorite is the younger dude, he's incredible. I came in wanting a crossbow my 9 year old could operate under supervision. He showed us the perfect option and taught us all how to use it. He explained and allowed her to crank it, showing us she can do it. We wanted a deer replica target to ensure she can practice shooting what she wants to hunt. He explained the various options, telling us the pros and cons of each. Extremely pleased with the purchasing experience with the crossbow and related items. 12 Apr - incredible purchasing experience, amazing service from Aaron at the firearms section. Told him what I was looking for in a hunting rifle and my price point, and he took me through the many options. I had planned to buy the scope elsewhere, but Aaron did so awesome and was able to speak about the scopes they had in stock I ended up getting it also. By the time the background check came back it was mounted and ready to go. Good selection with great representatives to help you get what you want.

Lazy Sunday went to Cabellas. My first time. We were greeted like they had known us forever. Looking for a Flyfishing rod and reel and had no clue about Flyfishing. The department head had an employee come over that didn’t know me from the next guy. He stops what he’s doing and shows me not only what I want but what I need, explains the ins and outs and then gives me Flyfishing lessons right there in the store. Shows me flys and how to tie them and just bonus information like you wouldn’t believe. I thanked him tremendously for everything and he says it’s just his job and he loves teaching. How lucky was I? I bought all I needed and then went right back in. I hadn’t had a chance to look at everything they have to offer including the fish tank that has fresh water game fish in it. The tank is the size of a car. The kids were mesmerized, especially at feeding time. The place had everything. If it’s not there (mostly is) it’s in a catalogue or on line. I could have spent the night there and still be looking throughout the store. I loved it. It was GREAT! Like taking a kid to a candy shop. I’m going back. Probably the day after tomorrow. I hope they’re prepared, LOL. Seriously……I’m a hard core outdoors shopper. (You’d think after all the time I spent in there yesterday I would have had at least 1 or two pictures of the place).
