I took my 5 mos old iPad in to have the screen repaired. (My son leaned on it with his elbow and cracked it.). The shop appears to have done a nice job replacing the screen. My 1 star rating is because they damaged the iPad’s shell when they were repairing the screen but insisted it came into the shop that way. Two employees met me at the counter when I picked up the iPad. The one who repaired the screen said he saw the damage before he even touched the screen. He repeated multiple times that he didn’t know how that kind of damage could even happen and said that it looked like it had been bent. But for the screen, the iPad was in excellent condition when I took it into the shop. It had been kept in a sturdy protective case and had no scratches or defects.
Edit to reply to store response - the iPad was taken into your store without its case. There were no “hidden” defects as you suggest in your response. The damage did not exist at the time I dropped off fb the iPad. Given the proximity of the damage to the screen and your employees’ defensive nature when I picked up the iPad, I would suggest that the damage occurred when your employees were removing the screen. I just wish that your store had been honest with its mistake instead of attacking me and suggesting the damage was there when I dropped off the iPad. I have not even asked for anything for the damage. I’m well aware that this is merely a he said-she said situation. I just thought potential customers should be aware of this situation and document the condition of their devices at drop off. Read moreThis place is horrible. I only gave them one star because Google wouldn't let me review without giving them at least one. I paid $75.00 to have a battery switched in my Moto Z. I received a call from the repairman advising that there was a possibility they could break the screen and that if the did so, it wouldn't be covered. The repairman said he had worked on those phones before without any issues. Of course, he broke the screen when he changed the battery. At first they wanted to charge me over $170 for a new screen. When I told him that I didn't think they should profit from the mistake, they offered to sell me the screen for $148.00, which according to him was their cost. I went out of service during this call and didn't get back in service until after they were closed. I ordered a screen from Amazon for $130.00. I took the screen in and the manager told me they had ordered a screen. I told him that I did not tell them to. He took my screen and put it on the phone. I picked the phone up and everything seemed fine. I plugged the phone into the charger and it came on. However, later that day I realized the on/off and volume buttons no longer worked on the phone. When I contacted the store about the issue, they said that the issue was caused by a defective screen and that it wasn't their screen so they wouldn't warranty it. He did not tell me that if there were any issues they wouldn't be covered when I gave him the screen. Now I have over $200 in the phone and it still doesn't work and they won't fix it. Read moreTerrible experience, don’t recommend. Brought my iPhone 15 pro max a few weeks ago for screen replacement. Paid $370 including the screen protector, I go back home and the screen is freezing every minute, I have to go back there a second time and they said they installed a bad screen (probably used) and say they will replace it, I go back there again to pick it up and when I go back home the phone drops a few inches and it breaks again most likely low quality Aliexpress screens then I look and I see they haven’t put back on the screen protector, I have go to back there a fourth time and I was being completely reasonable and understanding and explained to the guy what happened and told him I won’t need a replacement since the crack wasn’t bad and they can just put the screen protector (even paid for it) the phone was running fine and the guy tells me to come back if there is any problems. A week later, the screen start fading and turning off and I bring it today and they refuse to provide a replacement even though it’s their fault. Cost me a lot in time and trouble and the workers/manager take being nice and reasonable for granted. My recommendation is to use an online repair service who are competent, have a process, and actually test their products. Not this “local” business run by schmucks
