Gold Creations — Local services in Charleston

Have purchased 3 pairs of sterling silver earrings from Gold Creations over the years when visiting Charleston. It is a small but mighty place located in the City Market. The service is great (helpful, with not pressure or attempts to upsell.) The quality is excellent.

Recently, wanted to add a necklace to wear to several upcoming events. Didn't have any luck at the local jewelers nor with online ones (just couldn't find what I was looking for.)

Then I decided to see if Gold Creations had an online presence. Thankfully, they did. Was able to pull together a sterling silver necklace with medium rice beads (they have different sizes of those) in the length I wanted and then to add a medium old exchange gate pendant (again, offered in different sizes.) It matches the old exchange earrings I got at Gold Creations perfectly.

As a visually impaired person, the best part for me was the clasp on the necklace. It is substantial and easy to operate without clear vision. (I could always have asked someone to help me with the clasp, but I guess I never grew out of the tow year old phase where I want to "do it myself!")

The online experience was great. The website was easy to navigate. My necklace arrived in the promised shipping window. It's beautiful.

They have went above and beyond to help out with an exchange (more than once), repair, and new gift purchases. We visit the store every time we travel to Charleston and are sure to spread the word about this amazing gem with all of our friends and family! Before my mother passed away, she had purchased her very first rice bead bracelet from Gold Creations. She always told everyone it was her favorite piece of jewelry. To honor her, all women in our family now wear their rice beads and never take them off! The quality of the jewelry, how reasonably priced their pieces are, and how unique the jewelry pieces are make them truly one of a kind. UPDATED: Previous post was in concern for my experience at Gold Creations. Since that post the owner has made personal contact to share the history and philosophy of their business. I truly feel this family owned business cares for every customer. If he can take the time to apologize and get to know me, I appreciate the care given to their products aa well. I HAD to increase my rating and will be a FOREVER customer after his kindness and time.

Great jewelry and knowledgeable sales associate. Slightly disappointed in the level of service given to myself versus the Caucasian friend I was with!! She was given all brand new pieces from behind the counter, boxes and information. I was given no box and sold the pieces from directly off the counter... Im never one to ever see bias or point fingers but we were together and read treated VERY differently. We returned here before ending our trip to buy because our first stop in the sales associate was super friendly and we wanted to go back to purchase and take home a piece of Charleston.
