I dont like leaving a negative review but feel compelled to if it spares others from the frustrations we experienced. We went to this menâs warehouse location THREE times for a simple tux rental, giving multiple âsecond chancesâ and are still walking away empty handed.
The first time, we made an appointment and went into the store which looked disheveled and had a bunch of customers waiting around. We told an employee we were here for our appointment and he said âIâll add you to the queueâ. We asked if that meant weâd be placed in line behind all of the other people waiting in the store who did not have appointments and he confirmed. We thought that was a little annoying but were patient and decided to wait. 40+ mins after our appointment time- there was no end in sight to our waiting so we told a staff member we had to go. They were apologetic and told us to come back on a specific day when theyâd be less busy, we were understanding and told them no problem, weâd come back then. On our second visit, we returned on the day/time the staff recommended. This time, we were told there was a company wide system issue and they physically could not tend to any appointments/fittings/etc. We asked if they could maybe just take the measurements we needed in the interim but they insisted that they couldnât. The system issue was of particular concern, I asked the employee if this meant that deliveries and pick up appointments were impacted and he was hesitant to confirm but indicated that that was the case. We are trying to rent tuxes for our wedding, so we were now concerned that we would encounter issues when folks needed to pick up their rentals. The employee was apologetic and told us that he could make us another appointment in a few days and that âhopefullyâ the issue would be resolved by then. We were reluctant but willing to give them another chance so we made the third appointment. For our third visit, we called to confirm that the system issues were resolved the night before our new appointment. They confirmed and said weâd be all set. We got to the store the next day and the sole employee working was frantic, but very honest, and said that it was only her working today as her staff was out sick. She said that even for appointments, everything would be on a delay (of at least 30 minutes but wasnât sure exactly how long- she said we could leave and come back âlaterâ). She said that her boss was coming in as soon as possible to help, but at this point the store had already been open for an hour and a half and nobody had thought to call to let us know they couldnât see us at the time of our appointment.
At this point, we decide to give up. We tried to look past every issue each time. Iâm sure the employees are doing their best while theyâre severely understaffed. However, the system issues that impacted appointments/deliveries, the policy of âappointmentsâ not actually being at a specific time because they just make a queue with each person who arrives at the store and youâre put at the end of the list when you arrive even if you have an appointment at an exact time, and not calling to give us notice that they wouldnât be able to see us ahead our appointments (so we instead had to drive all the way there and then turn around three times) are inexcusable. I would not trust this store for an important event after all of...
Read moreAs a long-time customer of Men's Wearhouse, I have regularly relied on their services for my formal attire needs. However, my recent experience with the West Ashley, SC facility has left me thoroughly disappointed. I placed an order for a tuxedo, as I have done annually since 2017, and encountered a series of issues that significantly impacted my overall satisfaction with the company.
The primary source of my dissatisfaction stems from the slow and inattentive service I received from a staff member at the West Ashley location. Despite my request for the order to be shipped to facilitate pickup, I was misinformed about the tuxedo's location. Upon visiting the North Charleston facility, as directed by Men's Wearhouse staff, I was informed that my tuxedo was not there and had, in fact, been at the West Ashley location since December 11th. Regrettably, no effort was made to notify me of this change, leading to unnecessary inconvenience and frustration.
Consequently, I was compelled to make a time-consuming 1 1/2-hour round trip to the West Ashley location on short notice, disrupting my schedule and causing undue stress. This inconvenience was exacerbated by a prior trip I made to the North Charleston store, based on the information provided by Men's Wearhouse staff.
As a loyal customer, I had expected a higher level of service and attention to detail from Men's Wearhouse, especially considering my consistent patronage over the years. The lack of communication and the subsequent inconvenience have significantly tarnished my perception of the company and left me questioning the reliability of their services.
In conclusion, my recent experience with Men's Wearhouse, particularly the West Ashley, SC facility, has been deeply disappointing. I hope that the company takes steps to address these issues and improve their customer service to prevent similar incidents in the future.
I hope this review accurately reflects your experience and helps convey your dissatisfaction with...
Read moreI came here recently to get a tux for a wedding. During my initial fitting, I raised questions about potential issues with my rental and I was assured everything would be fine. The gentleman who was sizing me admitted to not having slept at all the night before which I appreciated him admitting, but I did not appreciate the mistakes that came along with it. When I went to pick up the tux the pants were 3 inches too short and not slim fit like the jacket was, the shirt was extremely baggy, and there was no pocket square. The worst part about it is that I brought up my concerns while he was sizing me but he assured me multiple times that he was doing everything correctly. I do want to point out that the person who took care of me when I came to pick up the tux was very nice and helpful. She was able to find a shirt that fit much better and get everything else ordered. Also, the manager reached out to me after I submitted feedback about my sizing experience and asked if I wanted to come back in to get re-sized. I was out of the country so I wasnât able to but it was nice of her to try to get ahead of things. Because I already had travel scheduled for a wedding, I ended up having to pickup the reorders in Manhattan because it was the closest MW to my wedding location. Taking time out of the wedding festivities and having to carry a tuxedo around the streets of NYC and on the subway was not the most fun way to spend my time. Not to mention that I did not get reimbursed for the cost of travel. This is the second time I have had to personally pay for MW's negligence. Not really what you would expect after you pay $250+ to rent a tux that multiple other...
