I worked with Salthouse for my wedding at Gibbes Museum of Art! Jacqueline was the main contact for the planning process and tasting, she was amazing and answered all my annoying questions with ease and excitement! We went through a lot of changes due to the increase in food pricing this year and she really worked with me to find something that would work for us.

The tasting really sold us!! There was not a single piece of food that we tried during our tasting that we did not want on our menu, every time my dad and now husband took a bite, my mom and I said “what do you think” and they couldn’t even compare one hor’dourves to the next one because they were all so delicious.

The wedding day was no exception to the amazing food!! Throughout the night everyone kept coming up to us and saying how incredible the food was. Most people went back for seconds (we did stations) at EACH station!! The biggest regret we heard from my brother-in-law is that he didn’t eat MORE because he was full but it was that good.

We had some extra food and Salthouse packed it up for us and not a single bit of it went to waste, we had the leftovers and they were DELICIOUS.

It’s been a few weeks and we are still getting compliments on the food!! I was never stressed that Salthouse could not pull it off, they were well prepared and everything was as delicious as the tasting!

I would pick Salthouse hands down again and even wish they had a restaurant in Charleston that I could eat at when I visit :) but hopefully we have another wedding in Charleston and get to enjoy them again!

Amazing Experience!!

Working with Salthouse Catering and Vince and his team was absolutely incredible! Going into the wedding planning experience, I assumed that providing food to our guests would be a check the box. However, Salthouse not only provided incredible food for our 155 guests but added so much to our guest experience with their amazing displays of food, wonderful staff and even packing up all the extra for my husband and I to take at the end of the night, as we barely had any time to eat during the reception. Vince and his team came up with a diverse menu that appealed to all ages and tastes and showcased the best of the lowcountry. Moreover, Vince was great about helping us schedule our tasting, as my husband and I live out of time and needed some flexibility due to work schedules. The tasting included full size samples from every part of our menu and the team worked with us to pick out everything from sauces to serving dishes that we preferred. Finally, nothing says more about Vince than our guest reviews, with many people telling us how delicious the food was!! We had people reach out months after the wedding to tell us it is the best wedding food they have ever had/ how they have never had grits cooked that well/ how much they loved the steak and the glaze for the fried chicken/ and if there was a way they could get the oysters and fish we had at the wedding...
