The young lady who took our order was very nice. The two ramen bowls we ordered didn't come out together. I got the tonkatsu and my husband the beef broth. She did let me switch the mushrooms for an upcharge on mine which was fine. I was surprised that the mushrooms were canned instead of fresh like shown in the pictures on the menu. The pork belly was extremely dry as if old, the marinated egg was nothing short of an egg dipped in soy going by color and taste, and my bowl had a crazy layer of sesame oil on top vs the normal drizzle places do. The noodles were great texture, but sadly the broth was absolutely way too salty for both bowls. It rendered my bowl inedible as the ingredients simply soaked the broth and it was like licking salt from a spoon. Usually my daughter drinks a little bit of broth due to her health conditions, but we couldn't give her any broth due to the extreme salt taste. My husband was able to eat his noodles but didn't drink the broth at all. While we ate the staff was rather loud talking about their personal lives in a way that ruins the atmosphere of the location. I asked shortly after getting my food if it was normal for the broth to be so salty, and the young gentleman said that he had added extra flavor to make it taste better. Unfortunately he as the cook must have forgotten to taste test the broths and failed to understand that these broths are delicate. He also must not know such a thick layer of sesame oil kills the flavor of the broth so all I could taste was sesame and salt. The young lady offered another bowl, but I had to decline since I know these broths are made in batches. It was rather disappointing to leave hungry for the price I paid especially since we had just left from my daughter being in the hospital. Honestly wasn't worth the $50(including tip since you pay before you receive your food) I spent when I dumped my ramen nearly full except for a couple of bites in the trash can, and my husband's...

Food: Just moved to Charleston from Michigan and I’ve been on the hunt for a go-to spot for both ramen and poke — this is that place. Poke Burri Charleston absolutely delivers on flavor, freshness, and creativity. Their ramen is legit — flavorful broth, rich texture, and everything cooked to perfection. But the real star? Their signature poke bowls and the secret menu. (Yes, there’s a secret menu — ask about it.) You have to try the Korean Fried Chicken and especially the Super Poke Bowl — generous portions, loaded with protein, and insanely fresh. I’ve been to a lot of poke spots, and this one hits harder than most.
Customer Service: The hospitality here is on another level. Jeff, the owner, is incredibly kind, welcoming, and clearly cares about every guest’s experience. Frank, the manager, is just as phenomenal — attentive, professional, and brings great energy to the space. The whole team goes out of their way to make you feel like family. Every time I’ve come in, they remember me, take time to chat, and make sure everything is on point. That’s rare.
Atmosphere: Clean, modern, and has a cool, laid-back vibe. It’s the kind of spot you can swing by for a quick lunch or hang out for dinner with friends. There’s also a real sense of pride in the way they run things, and you can feel it from the moment you walk in.
Final Thoughts: I seriously can’t recommend this place enough. Whether you’re craving ramen, poke, or something off the secret menu — this spot has all the flavor. Huge shoutout to Jeff and Frank — they’ve created something really...
Read moreWas back for the first time today in a while, while this place has fallen pretty far. Parts of the restaurant are filthy including the bathroom and the trash can where you have to bus your own table.
The food was mediocre at best, neither the fish nor the vegetables were fresh.
I asked if they had brown rice, and someone in the kitchen yelled at me that they didn't, I was so taken aback. I almost walked out.
Needless to say, I will not be back, there are so many other better poke places in Charleston that are much more deserving of my business.
---OLD REVIEW --- The layout of the restaurant is a bit chaotic with a crowded entrance, no great place to queue, music that is way too loud and jarring and TV screens showing photos and occasionally the menu for 5 seconds. The menu itself is an eyesore and very amateurish. The staff is friendly, but could be a bit more welcoming, engaging and enthusiastic. The service was amazingly fast even for fried brussels sprouts. The brussels sprouts were excellent, the poke was ok, adding lettuce, cabbage and beets to traditional mainland-style poke wasn't to my liking and the rice needs some work. I'll come back to try the ramen, but there are much better...
