The worst experience me and my 16 yr daughter ever went through. 1st came into the shop. The owner was extremely rude and hostile towards my daughter, when she requested to get her hair washed. I read the sign, saying they accepted cards. Watch other customers get their hair done. Pay at the end. And cash app the owner. When me and my daughter was left alone in the shop. 3 workers surrounded me, telling me I had to pay cash. They surrounded me, being loud. I felt at one point scared for me and my daughter. At this time. My daughter still had two hrs on her hair being done. I asked why they were so hostile and unprofessional towards me and my daughter. Thats when 4 workers, surround my daughter, yelling, saying I had to give them the cash now. Me fearing my daughter safety. I went to the ATM, and gave them cash. Before the hair style was even completed. And feeling confused. Bc they said accepted cards. I seen plenty of customers pay after their hair style was done. And even one customer with cash app. How they surrounded me and my daughter, and proceeded to lock, and block the only entrance. Yelling at us. I really felt our lives were in danger, and they were about to jump us. Like physically put harm on my child. I tried my best to difuse the situation and stay calm for my daughter protection. I went to the ATM. Got charged $3, for 3 withdrawal to pay them. Despite other paying cash app. Or with their cards. I payed the owner cash, which she rolled her eyes at me. And after that. Watch her pay her workers with my money I just gave her. She bullied me and my daughter to pay her workers for the day. Reason why they all threatened me and my daughter to pay cash. And after I paid. They completely stop working on her hair. One braider left, leaving my daughter hair undone. And the other worker started sitting down on her phone. My daughter is only 16yrs. And shouldn't have to deal with workers surrounding her, bullying her and not following their own policies and rules. To threatened her, my child, for me to be only one paying cash. The owner even admitted she extra hostile bc she thought me and my daughter was going to run out without payment. Bc she claimed we look like that type. My daughter had in, 3gs diamond earrings. Worth more than they all had on. Their sign said card. I attended to pay card. They bullied, threatened voilence, surrounded us like they was going jump us, I pray and us so appreciate towards Jesus, me and my daughter made it out that shop safe. Please don't go there. And what makes it even more horrible, 7 of my daughter braids on already fell out. And at this point, they can keep their bullying $300, I'll get hair done professionally somewhere else. Read moreI called in advance , I asked pricing on Smedium ( small/medium) knotless braids - mid back. The owner Alexis told me it starts at $180 . I continue to explain the style I want for more accurate pricing. Ultimately, I said " is it going to be around $220" she said yes and booked my appointment for the next day (today) . I went and was met by an older lady ( not the owner ) who begin to show me their sample braids with pricing. Well, the ones I wanted were listed for $300. I immediately told the worker I was not prepared to pay that amount . She called the owner who then said I can pay $250 for the Smedium because its a Sunday and she didn't want her workers missing the money. I agreed to the $250 . I then asked if I did a size bigger will she consider dropping that price . (Owner over the phone)She said "No ....the price will remain $250 because they don't normally negotiate pricing ". I still agreed to the medium size for $250 ( which is a size up from Smedium). The worker put a test braid in my hair - the parting was so crocked and the length wasn't where I wanted it to be . At that time , the owner physically came in the shop . She was very rude and did not like that I was questioning the length or parting( to gain clarity on the outcome of my $250 hairstyle). She said it seems as if " I would be a problem" . I reminded her that I had never been there before , I had a usual Braider who did this service for less but did not have appointment availability and I agreed to a bigger size for the same price she quoted me for Smedium . She was not pleasant and did not seek to satisfy my curiosity as to the results of my hair . I stopped the service ( before she started )and told them I would go elsewhere to get my hair done. Overall poor customer service . And, if you're calling you may want to ask them to send you a picture of their sample braids with pricing ....so you won't be surprised by astronomical pricing and...
Read moreThis place is extremely unprofessional. The job one of their staff did on my nephews' dreads was horrible. When ask if they could complete the task prior to him sitting down they assured that they could retwist his dreads. My nephews dreads are short however he gets them retwisted and styled regularly at a different location with no problem. (His regular stylist was unavailable) once he was finished he came out looking the same way he went in, with slabs of black gel (not beeswax) all in the roots of his hair. The ends weren't touched at all. When explain how unhappy my sister and I were with the so called finished outcome, no apologies were giving. We were told his hair was too short to retwist and they expected full payment. No one asked to try to fix it and the stylist argued back and forth like we were wrong. They knew when they seen his hair that they may not have been able to do it and that's what should have been said when he arrived. My sister still gave them $20 of the $40 they asked for despite doing a horrible job, blaming his length of hair for the horrible job and being rude & unprofessional. On top of that as we left out the stylist stated "thats what you wanted to do anyway" insinuating that she didn't want to pay. No one should ever use them if this is how they treat customers. People want to pay for what they asked for and to be treated with respect. If she wanted a free hair style she would have did the horrible job herself. She was being respectful and nice when she paid half for a horrible job and the unprofessionalism of this stylist. Please keep in mind that your stylist are a representation of your business and one bad apple can spoil the bunch.
