I will tell everyone I can to NEVER go here. The PA, Rachel’s, medical negligence ended up costing me over $3,500 in medical bills with insurance coverage. I originally went in with a low grade fever. Was told to take a Covid test (even though the doctor told me I had no symptoms). The doctor then checked me out and said I had a viral infection. She told me to go home and “take some vitamins” and come back if I got worse? Trusting her advice, I did that. I will add she also seemed judgmental that I chose to come in with a low fever as if I was overreacting. 5 days later, my fever was over 103 and I was having pains in my side. I went back in and the doctor told me I should’ve gone to the emergency room instead with another judgmental undertone (even though she told me to come back if I was worse). I went to the ER and was told I had a UTI infection that had spread to my kidneys due to not being treated in a timely manner. A UTI is a common infection in women that can be easily found by running a blood and/or urine test at an urgent care. All it requires is a simple antibiotic to treat. Had this facility bothered to take my original visit seriously and run ANY basic medical tests, this would have easily been treated. Instead I have a mountain of bills. Please do yourself a favor and choose a facility that tests for issues instead of making dangerous assumptions about your health and suggesting you just “take some vitamins”...
Read moreThe visit was fine. I had an infection near my fingernail and my finger was swollen and sore. I scheduled online and was seen reasonably close to my arrival. They numbed the finger, made an incision to drain the infection, bandaged it and sent me on my way with a prescription for antibiotics. They had all of my info from my atrium health Dr's right there in their system. They didn't tell me this under 30 minute visit was going to result in them attempting to bill my insurance over $2200 - not before hand, not on the paperwork I got when I left. The patient portal indicates the insurance covered over $700 of the bill, leaving me a $1400+ balance. That must be a negotiated discount b/c that isn't even how my policy works (mine pays $0 until I hit a certain out of pocket). This was highway robbery. I like the care but there's no way in hell I'd go there again knowing now how they price gouge. There was no indication before hand from the provider, through a published list of procedure prices or even on the checkout paperwork of what they charge. Even waiting between nurse and Dr, and for the local anesthetic to kick in before he cut, I was in and out in 30 minutes and...

Madison Redwine was horrible. Bad mood immediately, and on her high horse/ego trip. But most of all she sent me away without antibiotics I need to finish off my ear lobe infection because according to her… “It’s already quite small”. Because Madison Redwine rather your infection come back all the way instead of just finishing off the job Atrium started when they assigned me a decent Dr last time. Any regular Dr would at least give a half dose prescription to be sure there is NOTHING LEFT… but bot Madison Redwine…
And they can offer me nothing now… so when they comment under this post… now its just them covering them selves politically. MADISON is a representative of everyone at Atrium Health… only the dr i saw before her had even a decent attitude. Everyone else their is miserable likely including whoever patrols their reviews section. If atrium wants to offer something… call me back and fix...
