Do not buy cakes from this place. I ordered my daughter’s birthday cake from here and the Assistant manager explained the sizes and prices and I orders an 8 inch cake a simple vanilla cloud cake. And I paid $59 and when I realized that they gave me a 6 inch the smallest cake they got. Also when you called to let them know that I’m sending my daughter to pick up the cake they were trying to sell me the happy birthday sign. Which was $4 when the assistant manager already explained that the cake came with a happy birthday sign in chocolate so the Assistant manager or the store manager Tiffany couldn’t be trusted. They should be ashamed for charging so much money for a 6 inch cake. I work in the food industry as a GM and if I was the Manager there If this happened I would resign immediately. This company has three locations and I bet this maybe how they opened two new stores by cheating customers. I would never step into this store and will make sure to let everyone I know about this place- Also I purchased small mocha called that’s packaged it tasted stale and upon checking the best by date was expired already. Customers it’s better to buy freshly made cakes at publics for less where they constantly check on the expiration dates. Makes you wonder if the NC health department needs visit these bakeries...
Read moreFinally, I made my way to visit this location for the Yelp experience. First off, this is located right off South Blvd, and let me say parking is rough! There are only a few spaces in front of the shop, and you also have to deal with that rough south end traffic. I went during my lunch break, which I took early just to beat lunchtime traffic. There was no traffic and about 2 parking spaces to choose from. The shop itself is super cute and small. Upon entering, you are greeted with a variety of pastry and bread selections. The ladies at the counter were super nice and helpful. You get a tray in the beginning and your pair of tongs and start selecting any pieces you would like. I got the spinach and feta Danish, which I read tastes better warming up in the oven, which I'm so excited. I ended up wanting to purchase chocolate filled fluffy donut, which I'm so excited to try out! I also bought a vanilla latte, which was def. Needed for this cold weather. It was not too expensive as I thought it would be, and they were actually reasonably prices $3+. I did find out they have other locations, which I def do. Intend...
Read moreBecause of the limited space, I’ll give the atmosphere a 4. It’s fine to sit but if all few seats are taken, you’ll need to find another place to relax. The food is light and to perfection. There is a desert for everyone here. The cakes are not dense and I would be careful for those who like dense cakes.
The hours are accessible for everyone and just like every bakery, unfortunately the early birds get the best food.
I haven’t tried their drinks or was inclined to go to their boba shop to order anything.
The baristas always have a positive attitude even with a large amount of people.
Personally I like the simple classics like their croissants and vanilla or cookies and cream macaroons. I have eaten their cloud cakes, other macaroons, soft breads (milk cream is my fav as it’s basic).
It’s a fun place to try different things and share amongst friends and when you find your favorite- go...
