The confirmation email received after booking stated that the guide would be in a Queen City ghost tour shirt and carrying a lantern. She was not. We arrived at the designated meeting spot 20 minutes early, as detailed in the email, and saw no one. Soon another group arrived looking confused and they were looking for the same tour as us. We called the number listed in the email only to find out that it did not take calls and it instructed us to email the company. At this point it was 8:05. Luckily the valet at the Dunhill hotel told us the ghost lady was in the back. When we walked around back we found a group, but the guide was under the impression that she only had 4 people on her tour not 11 but she allowed us to join. Though she never introduced herself she was very nice. The “ghost stories” were underwhelming. 8 haunted locations were promised and we were only told about 2 to 4 with the extended tour. While we did learn about the city of Charlotte I would not describe this as a ghost tour. The only good part was that the guide was so nice, despite a lack of good stories. It was not worth the money and I cannot recommend it to...
Read moreGreat time learning about different parts of downtown Charlotte and the supposed ghosties. Our guide was knowledgeable and professional. Honestly the weirdest part was when I got back to my hotel just now. I went to my photos and one of the photos was super distorted. I take THOUSANDS of pictures on my phone because I constantly post on instagram. None of my pictures ever come out weird. I know how to take a good picture and my phone has the best camera on the market right now. So, even when I'm moving the pictures take well. I was standing still when I took this photo so I'm seriously scratching my head at how this happened. This also happened to be the only photo I took at this location. I'm also a ghosty skeptic so I'm not trying to make this into a thing but it is really weird to me (see photo). I tried to recreate a blurry or distorted photo again by moving around or pointing it at light but my phone takes only great pictures even when being...
Read moreI was in Charlotte for business and only had time in the evening to learn more about the city which really left me with ghost tours as a tourist. I feel really lucky that I had Tracey (over 30 years experience in paranormal work) and her trainee to teach me more about Charlotte in the unique format of a ghost tour. Even though I was the only person on the tour, the guides were energetic and passionate about the ghosts we “visited” in Charlotte. I have to warn you these are pretty detailed ghost stories that can involved tales of murder — it can get pretty scary when you’re doing this tour late in the evening when the streets are quite deserted. Lucky for me, Tracy let me hang on the back of her coat whenever I got really scared. Great way to spend an hour, very reasonably priced for the quality...
