I’ve been going to this establishment for about 7+ years. Unfortunately my most recently visit will be my last. I came in 3/1. I originally paid for boho braids and purchased human hair directly from the owner. As soon as, I left the shop…the hair was shedding all over. By the time I got home, some chunks of the hair was falling completely out. I text the owner and told her what happened. She told me to comeback to the shop on 3/4. When I there, she took a look and stated the human hair was installed wrong inside the braid and she will redo my front and middle. So, I made an appointment for me to come back and get it done. I came BACK to the shop just to be told by the owner that she couldn’t re-do my boho braids because the hair that was sold to me was bad (it wasn’t an install issue). That’s all the hair she had. Not once did she call and let me know prior to coming back the 3rd time. The owner then cuts the human hair out my head and thought that was going to be acceptable me. Not wanting to make it right. I was left with strands of hair sticking out and uneven parts. I was offered the money I spent on the human hair. Not anything else. I was leaving for vacation in two days and disappointed that she didn’t keep her word. Listen…I paid 330.00 plus tip for boho to end up with uneven knotless braids that once the human hair was removed. The owner eventually offered to redo the front and middle boho but, that diI would have to purchase the hair and my back of the head would still look mess. She then offered to do the front and middle regular knotless. I came back a 4th time!!! to get this accomplished. The braids were not good. After braiding, They didn’t cut the strays. I understand it was late but, it was just below the basic standard. Since getting these braids re done in the front and middle, I’ve been pulling chunks of braiding hair out of my braids for the last 4 days. Because the braiding rushed, the additional braiding hair added to the braid to make it full and long was sticking out on every single braid did over. Mind you they didn’t re do the back, so it’s till very much raggedy. I had to cut the hair when I got home because it was uneven. One side was significantly longer than the other. The owner apologized and I’m forgiving person. I’m mandated to do so my by my Lord and Savior. However, This is very disappointing. Both my daughter and I have been going here for years. Spending a lot of money. I even brought another family member several times. The owner had the opportunity to do the right thing and chose the option to save her pockets and left me a highly unsatisfied former customer and not with the hairstyle I wanted nor paid for. Your word is all you have and when you don’t stand by it or make it right, you lose.

Read moreI went to this salon last year to be my hair braided, and I had no issues. So when I decided to get my hair braid this time, I did not hesitate to go back. I was told to come at 8:00 am. when I made my appointment two days prior. I arrived at 7:50 a.m. Which means I was the first person there. While the owner blow dried my hair, tow more ladies walked in. She proceeded to blow dry everyone while we were waiting for the other braiders to arrive. Well the lady to braid my hair didn't show up until 8:30 a.m. Then she proceeded to talk to everyone in the shop. She did not start on my hair until 9:15 a.m. While she was braiding my hair she continued to talk. She stopped and worked on another client's hair. She took her long. Finally at 5:30 p.m. I told her I had somewhere to be and needed to leave. She told me she was almost done. I finally had to rush her to finish at 6:55 p.m. because I was supposed to be somewhere at 7:00 p.m.
When I was there last year, I had several braiders working on my hair. This time I only had one. Which is why I didn't notice how many times she was leaving to work on someone. Everyone in that salon knew I was not happy. I say through the other braiders finishing two clients apiece while she was only doing my hair. I will NOT be...
Read moreI used this salon a few times in the past. I’ll start by saying the owner is very friendly and they work fast. Those are the only positive things that I have to say. The first time I got knotless box braids was fine, even took my daughter. The second time I got a high ponytail. Night mare! 1. It was braided entirely too tight. I had big red welts everywhere and they cut my hair when cleaning up with the scissors. So much so that I had to cut several inches off my hair to even it out. That was a year ago. Last week we were going on vacation and my normal braider was booked :( …. Happy Hair was the only place I could get in to before we left. Nightmare. Despite requesting her not braid too tight, she did. I was so uncomfortable, I took the braids down after 6 days. Big chunks of hair came out my head. My scalp is still so sore despite taking them down and welted up. It’s ridiculous. If you value your hair or are looking for “protective” styles, don’t go here. They will wreck your hair. It took 4 hours for a ponytail! 4 hours! My daughter got knotless box braids in the same length of time. Never will I...
