On October 16th my husband and I placed a to go order for sesame chicken, vegetable fried rice, 1 spring roll and 1 egg roll. We have ordered this same combination of food many times before as we only live a few miles away and the food was always pretty good in the past but this time it was awful. The chicken was dry, stringy and fatty and was not edible. The rice was flavorless and hardly contained any vegetables but we could choke that down at least . My husband called up and spoke with one of the employees and asked for a refund for the sesame chicken since it was so bad and the employee asked for the last 4 digits of the credit card and he said he would speak to a manager and get it taken care of. I checked my credit card bill about a week later to see if that charge had been adjusted but saw that it had not so my husband called and spoke with the owner of the restaurant. She was very rude and would hardly let my husband speak. She continued to say that they would only allow a refund if we brought back the food and my husband was tried several times to explain that we discarded the food a week ago and that we were not told to bring it in but the employee said he would get it taken care of previously and did not ask us to bring it back at the time. The owner repeatedly told my husband that he just wanted the food for free and that we must return the food to get the refund. My husband again tried to explain to her that we do not have the food and we would just like a refund for the chicken which is what her employee told us he would take of and that it is not our fault that we were not told to bring the food back. Finally she told my husband to bring up the receipt and she would give us a refund so he drove up to the House of Leng and she did give the refund but she did not great my husband or apologize and was very rude about the entire thing. It is a shame that as loyal customers of over 2 years that we were treated this way by the owner herself. Because of this we will NEVER return. In the end it was not about getting the refund but it was about the the poor customer service. It was evident that the customers do not matter to this owner and it is all about the money or she would not have argued about refunding the cost of one order of sesame chicken to a loyal customer who has spent so much more than this...

Last night my "spouse", myself & my 21 year old daughter was delighted by sight and sold immediately. I, myself was most certainly pleased by cleanliness, friendliness, the variety to choose from on the menu, the affordably, the ease of placing our order to dine in DESPITE the fact they had run out of asparagus the day before...lol. NO PROBLEM! TRY something new is what I did. Therefore, I ordered the shrimp, eggplant, and garlic sauce with (cashew nuts added as to my self indulged taste buds). *Anyways... my change caused me to be setback. Meanwhile, my husband and daughter was served their dishes immediately. My dish followed less then ten minutes counting only to find two things... number one my eggplant was overcooked not once but twice and there was a fly in my food. Again, NO PROBLEM. RIGHT! Because all "I" had to do was take my plate to them and they apologized. Plus remade my dish. Needless to say that I never ate the eggplant the second time around either. Nontheless, my "spouse" asked if I could be discounted on the price of my dish when they brought the check and that as well was easily resolved as well. HaPpY WIFE indeed "I" was. And, of course I won! Because I choose self HaPpInEsS when I decided to enjoy being in a new place with my family. In fact, WE decided that we'd return. Maybe, prehaps we'd even try there other location in the Broadway area. Hopefully, I'd get my asparagus dish and they'd get a five star rating from ME. LIFE IS GOOD, GOD IS...
DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE! They don’t care one bit about their customers. I am beyond upset. I get food here at a minimum once a week for years. It’s the only food my 85 year old dad will eat outside of what I cook. He won’t start eating if it’s more than 7:10. I ordered food on the phone at 6:36pm and was told 20 minutes. A simple order of Shrimp Lo Mein and Chicken Fried Rice. I arrive 6:53pm, paid and waited, waited and waited. I asked at 7:10 about the order. The very rude and obnoxious girl in the front walked back and I could see her ask about the order. She started looking at all of the orders in process and ready to go out. She came back out front and said it’s coming. I waited another 10 minutes and asked again. She snapped at me and yelled in the back to cancel my order saying I didn’t want it. I asked for the manager. Once again excuses. They are short staffed, lots of orders, it’s coming…….. I told him I want the food and my money back. I’m not a Karen, I’m a hard working 61 yr old in the customer service field. An apology and the truth would have gone a long way. They skipped my order and didn’t start making it until the manager went back there at 7:23. Guess what? My food was ready in 20 minutes, An hour and 10 minutes after I ordered it. She had the nerve to tell me it was my fault. I got my money back and will say this is the last time I will ever get food from there. I’ll eat lesser quality to be treated like a valued loyal customer...
