Ladies of Lineage — Local services in Charlotte

I attended a sample sale event this boutique hosted and it was an interesting experience, to say the least. The weather was pretty poor, so they set up tents for us, which was great! Communication was very clear prior to the event. Upon finally being able to enter the boutique, it was a little hectic and poorly organized inside. We were told the middle racks were available for the sample sale, but in the showroom, my maid of honor and I became really confused, as there were multiple people looking through the other racks we were just told were not apart of the sale. In our minds, we thought maybe we heard the employee wrong and we began looking at them as well. We didn't see any employees say anything to the other brides, but as my maid of honor and I started looking at them, an employee, named Johann snatched a dress out of our hands very aggressively and said that they weren't apart of the sell and rolled her eyes at us. From that point on, she kept glaring at us and all around made us feel uncomfortable. It was just very off putting. We couldn't understand why she was treating us differently than the other brides in the store. In any case, I didn't let that one weird interaction ruin my day and I found my dress! Katelyn and Daniela were so amazing and made me feel so gorgeous! I ended up booking an accessory appointment after I purchased my dress. Upon further reflection that evening, I still found myself feeling insecure from the interaction with Johann, so I emailed the boutique, asking that Johann not be involved in my appointment, especially after googling her name from their website and finding a very public profile of hers supporting Donald Trump lol. This, I did not even mention in my email. I was unfortunately, met with gaslighting from the owner, Natasha and a big dose of glazing for Johann. Therefore, I just canceled my accessory appointment and booked with another local bridal boutique. My final email, which received no response from Natasha stated, "Upon my initial email, I had no intention of cancelling, I just wanted to bring it to your attention and make sure Johann was not involved in my future appointment. Being a supervisor myself, I understand your need to defend a member of your team, but blatantly disregarding the experience I had is an interesting tactic. To be quite honest with you, Johann's actions came off as very classist. If you want to reach a larger demographic of women, which it seems like you do since you hosted a sample sale, I would just keep this situation in mind for the future." I could be completely off the mark, but I don't think I personally fit the role of a Ladies of Lineage bride. I'm Hispanic with tattoos and I'm pretty down to earth. Their boutique seems centered around cookie-cutter, wealthy women. It's disappointing that in an industry centered around celebrating love and unity, such elitism still prevails. Ten stars if I could. Ladies of Lineage provided THEE best experience of my entire wedding planning process. I was engaged for a long time, tried on many dresses in that time and went to many stores in that time. Not only is this where I found THEE dress, it was such a wonderful experience. The women there are so welcoming and nice, but they’re also very good at what they do. After informing my stylist on how many dresses over the number of years I’d tried on and what I was really looking for, assuming she probably figured I’d be a walkout (as did I), we walked through the most beautiful display of dresses and started choosing. I pulled some, she chose some, and then the try-on process started.

Spoiler alert: The first one she put me in ended up being the one. It had everything I described to her I was looking for, but when she initially pulled it asking what I thought, I just took it as an “okay, I’ll try it on.” I’m so glad I did. She knew what she was doing and I was immediately “wow!”. While it was a wild card, it really was what I described to her. I tried on several others and she was very patient and informative. Ultimately, I was torn between two and asked to come back the next day. They had an opening, I went back, still couldn’t decide. It was between the dress I was looking for and the dress I didn’t know I was looking for. I sat on the decision for a month and in that time knew which one was “the one”. Third time back in and I said “yes!”. A few months later I went back in for final measurements, then several months later I went in for the dress pickup. They even took videos of getting me into the dress and how to do it so I could show my sisters that couldn’t be there from another state. I also got my earrings and veil from them and they have the best and most vast selection of jewelry and accessories than any other store I’d be to.

At an appointment I thought would just be another appointment and defeat, staring at the same dresses every other store has, it was entirely the opposite. They have the whole package— beautiful/upscale store, great location, on-site parking, the best selection of dresses and accessories, wonderful staff and customer experience. You can’t go wrong. They made me feel important and special at every appointment, not just the first one. The girl I had at the first appointment was fantastic, but no longer there, so after that appointment, Katelyn took over and I continued to work with her. She made the experience so great and enjoyable. She made me feel like a friend picking up where we left off. Everyone that works there was always part of the experience and helping out at every visit. You can tell they have a true team dynamic, and as a business owner myself, that says a lot about a company. Every appointment I would tell them I want to work there. If you don’t find your dress at Ladies of Lineage, you’ll at least have the ultimate bridal experience and feel the way you want to feel and should feel. Ladies, if you are curious on where to start with your bridal shopping experience - you need to start at Ladies of Lineage. I scheduled my appointment in advance and was met with the most personalized, welcoming, and thoughtful appointment, even more than what I had anticipated as I walked in. Daniela was an absolute dream to work with. She was hands on, listened to all my wants, and helped me find my absolute dream dress. I knew immediately that I had found my dress, but had a long day of shopping in front of me. However, after several other bridal stores and appointments, it was clear that my gown and experience at Ladies of Lineage was one of a kind. Not only was I treated with so much kindness and respect, but all the wonderful women in Ladies of Lineage truly care about you and your experience. When I notified the team that I would be coming back to purchase my dress, I even received a personal text message from Daniela (while she was on vacation, may I add!) sharing her excitement for me and letting me know she was by my side through my next steps.

Upon my second appointment, I was measured with extreme detail to ensure my dress is molded to my shape. We walked through details, and left no stone unturned. One thing that I appreciate so much is being able to walk out with all my questions answered. Johann was extremely thorough with me and detailed on everything I could expect moving forward. My dress has some additions, and she worked directly with the designer to get the okay on these modifications, so there would be no concerns on if they could be done. They truly thought of everything - and delivered in all aspects. I cannot say enough about Daniela, Johann, and all the other ladies who made my experience everything I had ever hoped for. Every bride deserves the best, and that is what Ladies of Lineage has to offer. I cannot wait for my dress to arrive, and I am so thankful to say I'm a Ladies of Lineage Bride. I will be forever indebted to these women for making my bridal shopping experience the experience of my dreams.
