April 26th I visited this location with my cousin to get our hair done for a wedding. I went in wanting my hair curled and just some of the front twisted back. Once the stylist curled my hair, she attempted to do the twist but couldn’t make it work due to my hair being somewhat thinner, which I told her I understood so she tried to do something else but admitted she wasn’t good at that kind fo stuff. By the time she went to get another stylist to help, my curls were almost completely gone/fallen out. The stylist that helped her knew more than the first for sure, but still was only able to get a tiny a braid pulled back. Full service charge was $90 (got my eyebrows waxed too which that part was great. I think her name was Crystal, really liked her). The “updo”/curl was $70!! $70 to leave with absolutely no curl & a ridiculous looking braid pulled back. What I had done was not even an up-do. It was literally a braid. It took so long, I was late needing to leave and I didn’t have time for them to fix it or recurl (not that they offered). Once I got back to my hotel, I didn’t even have time to re-curl it myself.
Needless to say, I paid $112.50 (includes tip) to have to go to the wedding with basically how my hair originally was.
My cousin told me I should have just come to her venue to get my hair done by her stylist. She only charged $60 for the BRDIES hair & $35 for each bridesmaid. Very, very upsetting considering I paid over $100 for nothing.
Shoot keep the tip for the girls, they still worked and used their time . I understand the service industry. I worked in it for 12 years.. But some of the service charge should have been offered to be discounted given I didn’t get anything that I asked for.
The first photo was immediately after I go to the wedding, about 45 minutes after leaving the salon. You can see yourself it’s completely straight. The second photo is just to show what I had done was not an up-do but...
Read moreOk, so as an aging women the greys just wont stop. I decided to embrace my age and my color. I have grown tired of needing full root cover every 4-5 weeks. Not only is it expensive, but the amount of chemicals is too much for me. "Than" is working with me to transform my hair to be more natural. This is a several step process due to the cover up color put on my hair previously. "THAN" is amazing!!! She is very knowledgeable about hair, color, products, aging and greys. She is patient and dedicated to her craft and to you during your time with her. I'm new to this area so I researched salons and stylists. I got lucky finding her and will never go to anyone else. I'm overjoyed with the transformation she has started with me. It's hard enough to grow older but she is helping it be that much more acceptable and enjoyable. Also, the staff are very friendly. Great at scheduling and reminding you of appointments and atmosphere is enjoyable. Yay!!!! I'm so happy I...
Read moreI was very disappointed with the service I received here. I went in for a balayage and it looked fine except she made the left side significantly lighter than the right side. I called a week later because the color had lightened to practically blonde (I have black hair) and asked for them to just fix the left sided patch which looked terrible. A week later they got me in but she just ended up dying my entire hair extremely dark despite me saying I liked the color in the back, just wanted that left sided patch fixed. I spent $240 for it to look like I did nothing to my hair. They just dismissed my concern when I said she went too dark even though I kept asking her. I'm disappointed in their service and lack of offering any compensation. $240 and 6 hours of my time, absolutely absurd!! Would...
