I've been with Red Cross for some years and I enjoy going to the one on Park Road they are very friendly, courteous, respectful and professional they treat you like a family instead of just wanting your blood. They inform you of the different types of blood that you can donate. There is never a dull moment they keep you informed on your next appointment if you like, before your next schedule appointment you should eat iron-fortified food and drink another glass of water before donating.In other words they're very knowledgeable in helping the unfortunate ones out, I feel that's why God giving me the health and strength that I need to continue to donate and I love it. Very poor service. My wife and I called the 800 number to found out if your Park Road office would be open today, Wed. 2/12/2014 and the individual said that you must be open because there had been no call to indicate a closing and that normally that call would be made. So we trekked over to your side of town only to find the office closed. Very frustrating! You missed out on two pints of blood, or more importantly, someone in need will have to wait longer - hope they survive. You need to tighten up your network - what good is the 800 number if you get such poor information.

I've been giving blood since 2002, it all started at the government center and doing the years I've been coming here on Park Road, I never get the same employees to do my blood pressure or temperature check, they all are knowledgeable, friendly, courteous and respectful, they take the time to explain what is what to make your donating meaningful.
