Brown Bag — Restaurant in Charlotte

Ordered for delivery for an office lunch. Ordering online was super easy online and customer service was great. The price was terrific as it included grilled chicken, salad, mashed potatoes, brownies and rolls for $13 pp. I chose to add on the Gouda Mac and cheese, grilled veggies and flank steak. They also provide all utensils, plates and warming stations which collapse, which was also a great feature. The food was fresh, flavorful and delicious and everyone enjoyed it. My only reason for taking off a star is that the food is ‘weighted’ so the portions are very specific therefore, if you had people that require more food or eat more food, you would definitely have to add on more items to make sure you did not run out of food. I found that information out upon delivery and was a bit nervous that I would run out of meat. Had I known that information before I would have placed my order accordingly as you never want to cater food and run out before everyone is able to eat. My other suggestions are that the food upon arrival should have been hotter as we ate upon delivery, the chopped salad should have actually been chopped and that the grilled veggies consisted only of red peppers and zucchini which should have also been specified as when I think of grilled vegetables I think it would be multiple vegetables not just two. I definitely would order from them again just knowing what I know now I would definitely order a bit more food next time...

Brown bag catered my wedding on Nov 20th and I cannot thank them enough!!! Its so hard finding an affordable catering company with good food, affordable and good service but this place provided all the above!!! I told people brown bag was catering and i had a few people crack jokes due to the name but little did they know, this place has the BEST FOOD! Lol Everyone at my wedding is still talking about the food which is a WIN!!!!! So thankful for Dan Matthewson (catering manager). He allowed us to customize our menu, take our time to make payments, add and take away items down to the week of the event! He let me and my husband do a tasting and even spoke to us about his wedding experience which really warmed our hearts! This is a Christian based company and I pray they continue to be a blessing unto others as they were a blessing to us! ❤️ I didn’t want to tell people about them until after my wedding because I wanted to keep them all to myself but since the wedding is over, I guess I can now share this hidden gem lol GREAT COMPANY, GREAT MISSION!...

If you are getting married and looking for a caterer, look no further!! Brown Bag catered everything (appetizers, drinks, dinner, and dessert) for our wedding and not only did we pay half of what anyone else quoted us, but the food and service were truly amazing!! We were welcomed in for a generous tasting of the menu options we were interested in and the staff answered all our questions with kindness. The owner, Dan, was so accommodating and patient as we ironed out details, always responding in a timely manner. Our experience was so fantastic that my parents reached out to Dan and had Brown Bag cater a smaller family dinner the week before the wedding. Lastly and just as importantly, the food was SO YUMMY. All our appetizers disappeared and people commented on how delicious everything was - moist meat, wide variety of salads and sides, and the BEST brownies and banana pudding! We've been back to the Ballantyne location since for lunch and enjoyed other menu items just as much. We can't recommend...
