After another unfortunate experience in this Williams-Sonoma of receiving absolutely zero service, support, acknowledgement, or recognition that I was in their store, I guess I’ll just do all of my shopping online or drive across the state to have a reasonable experience again with Williams-Sonoma. I have shopped at this store twice, and I was completely ignored the entire time I was in this store. I’m not sure if I don’t meet the ideal clientele for the employees or why I received zero acknowledgement while in this store, both times, but this was incredibly frustrating. If people were busy and the store was busting out the seams with people, I would completely understand…but it wasn’t. To make it better, I had employee walk past me to talk to the couple who walked in after me that were older than me. While I made it apparent that I needed help buying the Williams-Sonoma exclusive sea salt and brass Breville espresso maker or help on any of the other espresso machines for nearly 20 minutes, I made the decision to finally leave. It seemed to be more important for employees to walk around ensure the past season hot chocolates were facing customers than to face me and help me purchase the espresso machine I wanted.
This happened to me earlier this year when I tried to buy an Ooni Pizza Maker, where nobody would acknowledge me while I was there. I made the decision to drive across the street to Sur La Table and buy the Ooni there where I was greeted immediately and had over the top friendly service.
This time frustrated me beyond belief as I thought earlier this year was just some fluke.
After reading other reviews, it seems to be the shtick of these employees for this location. It’s honestly upsetting, and I hope the corporate office reads the multiple negative reviews and gets this store to help...
Read moreWe bought a high end coffee machine and it broke within two months of use. We called Williams Sonoma and the gentleman told us to just bring back and we could swap out.
We brought it back and a manager told us that because we were a few weeks after the Williams Sonoma 60-day return policy that her hands were tied. She actually slipped up and said we’d be taking advantage of the store if she made an exception.
I get it. Stores have to have return policies. But this isn’t a $100 pan we bought. She told us to contact the manufacturer and deal with them. I was under the impression that’s why one would shop at Williams Sonoma because they would be willing to go to bat for you and handle the issue. My personal feeling is an exception could have been made seeing that it was only a couple of weeks past the 60 day policy.
I will likely never return to Williams Sonoma for any high end purchases as they do not have the flexibility that I feel a store of their caliber should have to deal with an issue...
Read moreDo not shop at Williams Sonoma! I ordered a set of plates as a gift. They sent a partial order 3 months later and ive been waiting a year for them to ship the dinner plates to the recipient. I called to cancel because clearly they dont plan to fill the order in a decent time and they keep changing the new estimated delivery dat. They want me to return the plates in order to cancel or wait for the backordered plates (that are never coming!). Firstly, this was a gifted set. The company was supposed to ship the full set as is there policy. Secondly, they do not accept used plates because of course the person who received the gift likely started using them right away. Lastly, this was a ploy to make sure they hold on to the order until they could fill it. But why does is take a year to make dinner plates! And there customer service team is rude and unhelpful. No wonder this company is going out of business. Zero stars. Please save yourself the headache and shop...
