Our recent visit delivered a standout culinary experience—diverse, well-executed, and visually appealing.

Jalapeño Burger: An absolute knockout. The patty was juicy and cooked perfectly, topped with crispy bacon and just the right heat from the jalapeños. The combination of heat, richness, and chargrilled flavor was balanced and bold. Paired with sweet potato fries that were crispy outside and fluffy inside—perfectly seasoned.

Burger Bento Box: A creative fusion concept that worked surprisingly well. The mini cheeseburger was flavorful and satisfying, while the French fries were crisp and golden. Edamame came lightly salted and perfectly steamed, offering a healthy contrast. The cucumber salad was refreshing with a bright vinegar note and slight heat. The California roll was fresh, tightly rolled, and served with quality wasabi and pickled ginger. The variety and portion control made this a standout lunch option.

Cowfish is always excellent and somewhat of a hidden gem tucked away in a small shopping court next to SouthPark Mall. If you can't decide between burgers or sushi for dinner or lunch....Well this place has both! My burger was fantastic (The Local Yokel). I ate half of it and the next day reheated it, it was just as good as it was the day before. The sweet potato fries complimented it well. I met an extremely nice gentleman at the neighboring table and his name was Osiris (probably spelling it wrong), But he got onion rings and a few other great looking items. His onion rings were so huge I had to ask him about them and if they were tasty. He said they were really good. We struck up a conversation about other things, mainly the food, But he ended up paying for our meal and I was just shocked. A random act of kindness from a complete stranger. It goes to show if you treat everybody with kindness you never know how that is going to be paid forward. He was such a sweet man, I wish I had gotten his full name. But that was extremely nice of him to do. My boss enjoyed his meal which was the bento box with a combination of cheeseburger and California roll, edamame etc. I wanted my boss to try this place and I'm hoping he will ask to go back again. We absolutely adore The Cowfish Sushi Burger Bar in SouthPark! 🚗 Our family travels often, and finding a spot that accommodates our gluten-free needs and welcomes our pup is a rare gem. Cowfish checks all the boxes—and then some.

The menu clearly marks gluten-free options and even offers gluten‑free buns, which made it so easy for my kids to eat safely and happily . The portions are generous, too—perfect for hungry travelers! I personally love ordering the truffle burger, skipping the bun, and adding a crisp side salad—it’s a delicious, satisfying combo.

Even better, they have a dog-friendly patio, so our little pup was able to join us. During our road-trip from South Carolina to Pennsylvania, we stopped here both ways—knowing we could enjoy a safe, tasty meal and include our four-legged companion.

Service was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and quick. The restaurant was spotless, and surprisingly affordable for a family of four dining out. Plus, the fun fusion of burgers, sushi & “burgushi” is a hit with everyone in our crew .
