We stopped here for lunch around 1pm on a Monday afternoon. We were traveling and had our dog with us and were quickly seated on the patio. Our table was set with plates but it was dirty with food and oil spots from the previous diners, it was very noticeable. The host removed 2 plates and walked away saying nothing. When we told our server he instead of wiping it immediately he left and sent someone else out a couple minutes later to wipe it. We ordered 2 virgin drinks from the bar (since we are driving back to Wrightsville beach that day) they took a little while to come but were absolutely delicious. Our server was personable and mentioned they had been working there for 7 years so we asked a few questions and zeroed in on 3 appetizers. Stuffed mushrooms- which were eh. They were very small, maybe the size of nickels. The stuffing was not even on top of a few mushrooms and the sauce tasted nothing like a wine sauce. The 2nd app was the pot stickers. Again eh, they were oddly barely warm maybe because it took these a decent while to come. The sauce underneath was decent but something just was off with it. They tasted like frozen potstickers. A disappointing recommendation from the server. The fried mac and cheese was good, nice and hot. All the food was brought out by food runners. Our server finally returned and we ordered entrees and I ordered a second drink from the bar. Our server took the last of our app plates and asked us if our mushrooms came out yet, told them they had. This was odd to me because we had been here from quite sometime now, if he was not sure if we got them, he should of been concerned by then. The drink took a solid 20 minutes to arrive. I assumed they must of been slammed but when I went inside to the restroom they were not very busy at all. We were completely out of water and my dog had not been offered any. Now, I understand Charlotte is probably not as big of a dog community as Wrightsville Beach, the dogs on the patio get water as soon as the guest at the table to here. We had been there an hour already, we did ask and he did bring water though. Our entrees… they took over 45 minutes to come to the table. Our server never checked back with in those 45 minutes. My son got the orange chicken, his eh again but worse.. it was cold and the rice had started to for a crunchy layer on top. So disappointing. My Louisiana cajan pasta was hot, clearly his dish had just been sitting waiting on mine. It said Parmesan entrusted but it was more so deep fried and tasted nothing of Parmesan, the pepper and mushrooms were almost non existent in the pasta. The food reminded me or frozen meals. This would be a dish I would of expected to be offer cheese shredded the table. I do not know if they do this here but our server never offered when bringing the dishes and never checked back. We asked for boxes and barely touched our food. My birthday is tomorrow so we order a slice of cheese cake for birthday. This came quickly and with a candle then was placed in front of my adult son. Our server cared so little about our table he couldn’t of even been bothered to ask whose birthday. We got our bill it was $129.00 which was expected and typical for us where we dine in Wilmington but our typical meals are way better than what we experienced here. I paid with 2 100$ bills and out server brought change in for of 20s and 10s. No smaller bills forcing me to either over tip or under tip. I left $30 bc you never know what kind of day someone is having. This was a very poor experience. We threw away the leftovers which we barely ate at the table. No we did not complain when we were there, I actually never once saw a manager walked around “touching tables” as they call it. I wish I would of checked the recent reviews before, we would of picked a different lunch spot. It took 2 1/2 hours to have lunch, including getting to our car in the parking deck. Again, our server was personable and seemed like COULD of been a great server but clearly unbothered...
Read moreI am disappointed in the service we received at this location. I made reservations and still had to sit in the bar area. They also tried sitting us with another couple, like they literally called both of our names and walked us to the same area and sat us right next to each other in the semi booth section where it was already people sitting at with no spaces in between any of the tables, it was like we were being forced to join a dinner party lol. We were a party of 3 (adults) so I'm not sure why she would try to sit us in the middle and offer the couple the end seat, it made absolutely no sense to me. I immediately asked for a different seat because it just wasn't going to work as I wanted a little bit of privacy and more elbow room to enjoy my lunch. When I asked for a different seat she said "we don't have any servers". I was instantly confused by her response and felt brushed off and when she realized I wasn't going to accept that seat tell us we can sit at the high-top table. First of all upon us arriving those seats were offered to the people who didn't have reservations and they opted to wait so why would you turn around and offer someone who has reservations those very seats that is bazaar to me but whatever my son had to be at work in a couple of hours so I didn't want to prolong it any further so we opted for the high-top seats. After taking our seats we sat and we sat and eventually someone came to get our drink order and then shortly after another server tells us he will be with us in a few. We sat and we sat some more and that server continued to serve other tables lol but then our drinks arrived and the individual who took our drink order returned to take our food order but the gentlemen who pretty much ignored us called him over right in the middle of him taking our order, which was rude like geesh why would you interrupt him at this point. I'm assuming there was a lack of communication in regards to who was going to serve us but I'm just assuming 🙄. Anywho, since I've already made this long enough I will just end it here by saying I wasn't pleased with our seating arrangement nor the service. Our food came out more than an hour after we were seated. My two sons ordered chicken and waffles and I ordered the parmesan crusted chicken. It was an unnecessary wait time in my opinion and yes I understand and give grace for busy environments and perhaps would have been more forgiven had someone communicated and apologized about the wait time and the lack of seating options at 11:15am 😐 lol. The food was good and the server who took our drink and food order was professional and nice so that made up for the lack of stars I would have otherwise given lol. I hope they take note and make...
Read moreFood was delicious but will never visit this place again… long story here! Such a bad experience and everyone should aware of your payment methods is secure and you know what you have in your card balance.
I ordered my last item is my cheesecake and hand her check book back with my $100 gift card.
In just little bit she came back and told me I have 0 balance in my card. I hand her the balance checked receipt showing $100 on it (I checked the balance while I was waiting in lobby). And she took the receipt 🧾 then another worker came, he told me we tried again and it’s still shows 0 dollar. Then manager involved in and she said well you don’t have balance, I end up repeating my self where is the waiter “C.H” I gave her the balanced receipt I need that back. Manager said I don’t know where she go. I asked her to get that receipt back and she said we don’t know what happened to it. I told the manager this is not my gift card my card does says $100 on round sticker.
The card you showing me here is not my card. I was so frustrated with this back and forth and mean time i am still waiting almost 20 minute get my cake 🍰 which never made it on our table.
The waiter figured out she is in trouble so she was hiding from the front end. All off suddenly she coming from the back side with my balanced receipt that I gave her(was wrinkled like she threw in trash).
Manager said let’s match up the card numbers and she said the one we have it’s not the same as this receipt shows. My whole point was this card with 0 is not my card. Hello 😠I only had two gift card and I showed her 2nd card I had.
I gave her the $100 card the one I gave her is not the one manager was showing me with 0 balance”, my gift card had a sticker on it. So I repeat to her this is not my card, I need the card I gave her. At same time the other worker he came from the frontside. We found the card she tried wrong / other card. If I put card on check book with $100 balance card and it goes in front, then how my card got changed with 0 dollar one?
She literally tried to still my card, with all this nonsense make me accused to her on this matter. Even though I was so made I controlled my anger and walked up in front and asked them can I have my cake 🍰 packed to go. While I was walking away manger took her aside. This means manager figured it out what she was up too. I left that place like I would never go there again. I never experienced some like this with The Cheesecake Factory or anywhere else. She didn’t know I have balanced receipt, hoping she is not been doing this to other people. TCF Need to take some action on this matter. I didn’t even hear sorry from the team it’s...
