A theatre-by-theatre breakdown of experience quality that I'll continue to update over time. (Updated 11/13/2022)
(Theatre 1) Spacious stadium seats adorn this larger premium room. The A/V and screen quality is CLUTCH.
(Theatre 3) The projector is dim but bearable, but the sound is too low; very difficult to hear, sounds like a speaker might be blown. Revisited this one on 11/13, issues still exist. The secondary equipment (for ads, pre-movie videos) extends well beyond the screen into the curtains, the image is blurry, blacks aren't pronounced or dark. Fortunately, the primary film projector/audio is significantly better. The sound seems like it's coming from the screen rather than a surround system, although it is much louder than last time.
(Theatre 5) This one will make you love movies again. Gorgeous screen contrast and the volume is bumping.
(Theatre 6) The previews will make you think this movie will be dim; there's a light on the right side of the theatre that is a little bright, so when it's on it makes the screen look dim. Once the movie starts, it's not so bad. Overall, this one's okay. Not their best theatre, but above average.
(Theatre 9) The projector is too dim; there's no details in the blacks which make it impossible to watch any dark movies here. It's the only theatre we've walked out on because the movie (Firestarter) was impossible to watch. You might as well close your eyes.
(Theatre 13) Another winner! Small size, few seats. If this is a busy movie, you might be annoyed by kids or loud talkers because of the small size of the room. But the screen is great, and the sound is booming!
(Theatre 14) Another good one. The screen contrast is a little dim here; it was a little difficult to make out details in the darks in the horror movie we saw, but...
Read moreI attended a movie on 7/8/18, and was disappointed in the overall condition(s) of replaceable/repairable fixtures in the theater. The staff was courteous, though most seemed rather distracted and unenthusiastic. (My viewpoint comes from many years of working in theaters and for different companies over the course of decades) The carpeting in every hallway I walked/passed is now dull & dingy. Rented a carpet shampooer lately...nope?! I had to switch seats three times in the theatre I went into, to find a bottom cushion that wasn't loose, or so low on foam that metal from the underside or back of the frame wasn't making a two hour sit uncomfortable. I went out to the lobby for a popcorn refill about an hour and a half before the concession stand would normally close, and the floor behind the counter was covered with a small bags worth of cornage...much of it smushed onto the floor. The front counters were obviously greasy & unwiped, while the back counters were not only cluttered, but had empty an bottle of oil topping sitting out, along with an unused/unlabled spray bottle of a blueish cleaner. There was NO ONE ELSE in line. The young man working was leaning against the back counter, thumbing something on his cell phone...surprised? (I was taught at my very first theater job that "if you can lean, you can clean") The movie was enjoyable, but had the same trailer for one movie twice. Clumsy oversite. I normally attend the AMC Eastridge 18 location (the old RAVE)...and will either go back there exclusively, or will wait for a...
Read moreThis theater is not worth going to. First of all, if you go to the bathroom, the purse hooks on the stall doors are arm level and I personally hit it and hurt my arm recently, the time before we went a woman in our group did the same thing. We are both around 5' 5" and we hit just below our shoulders on our upper arm. This is very dangerous and I'm sure it would/has hit some children in the face or head. This theater is terrible because most of the people you will be watching the movie with have no manners and no respect, I have been here multiple times and every time there is someone either talking through the movie, noisy with the food they sell or just smell horrendous! Don't waste your money on this place, pay a little more and go to a better place with a better environment and better movie goers. The popcorn they sell smells like old butter and horrible perfume mixed, as I was watching a movie someone directly behind me had apparently a 5 gallon bucket full of popcorn, I was about to vomit the whole time and I looked into my purse and thankfully I had a little bottle of mild body spray and I had to spray it the whole movie because it smelled so bad! When I got close to the bathroom door it smelled like a someone peed everywhere, thankfully the bathroom didn't smell as bad as it did outside of the bathroom. This place needs help or it needs to...
