I've had the privilege of being in Brandi's chair since moving to Chattanooga in 2019 and would never trust anyone else like I trust her. I have naturally curly hair and she's especially gifted at understanding and bringing out the best in it. Having witnessed her create her own salon from scratch has been an inspiration and a joy. On top of it all, Brandi is patient and kind and has THE best snacks a hungry, hair-needy person could want. I am OVER THE MOON HAPPY with my hair & experience at Urban Collective. I’ve worked at & been a client in high-end salons in Atlanta and none of them were as caring as Katherine was today at Urban Collective. Oh my gosh where do I begin? My stylist (Katherine) was super sweet & knowledgeable with her hair science. My curly hair had been cut in such a thoughtless way for the past few years and I walked out of this salon looking like a whole new (better) person. I am not one to go speaking badly about a salon especially because things happen but the experience I had has caused me to not feel comfortable going again. It was not the initial haircut and color that caused my choice to not go back, but how it was handled after even admitting that I didn’t blame the hairy stylist and what happened is partially my fault (I didn’t like my initial hair color and cut at all and attempted to fix it and it caused intense damage to my hair, unforeseen and it needed to be fixed) I felt incredibly uncomfortable there, and felt a lot of s lot of boundaries were crossed.
