Sweet Basil Thai Cuisine — Restaurant in Chattanooga

We came here on a Saturday night and enjoyed our dinner here. Service was faster than I anticipated, and our server was sweet and friendly. The restaurant has a cute date night feel.

I ordered the TK roll and Alaska roll. My sushi was delicious. The fish quality was pretty good, and the vegetables tasted fresh. At first looking at the sushi, I thought the portion size was small. But the amount of fish that's in the TK Roll was plentiful. The salmon on top of the roll was a pretty large piece. The sweet chili sauce was just great. And overall, the roll was so well balanced. Each part complemented each other so well. My stomach is growling just from looking back at the pictures and writing it about it haha.

And the mango sticky rice! The mango was so fresh and juicy. And the sticky rice had the perfect sweetness level. I wish they gave more sticky rice in proportion to the mango because there was much more mango compared to the rice. That's my only qualm with our dinner. For all the dishes though, food presentation was beautiful. When our server set our plates down, I was so impressed. I'm pretty sure I said "wow" every time she brought something over lol.

We had a great experience and a fun girls night. I would definitely come back again, especially for the sushi. It's a solid...

This restaurant is absolutely amazing, no, PHENOMENAL! My neighbors were Thai and I used to always go over to their house when they had parties and eat their food and I always loved it. My husband never had Thai food before and it had been years since I had it so we figured we would try something different. It was definitely a walk down memory lane for me and my husband's only complaint was we didn't come to this restaurant sooner since we've been in the Chattanooga area. The service was top notch. When we first sat down the waiter put the napkins in our laps and was very attentive the whole time to us. The food was out of this world delicious! We had the steamed spring rolls (not fried) for the appetizer, I had the duck with coconut curry, basil leaves, peppers, and pineapple, and my husband had the chicken with green beans and lemongrass curry. Before our food was brought out we were given a pot full of fresh steamed sticky rice. I could not have asked for a better dining experience and we will DEFINITELY...

Sweet Basil has been my favorite Thai restaurant in Chattanooga for a long time. Their service and setting are a lot nicer than the other places, too. This is several weeks after the lockdown was lifted, almost every other restaurant in Chattanooga have reopened their dining rooms. People are packed inside these places like sardines, and spilling outside the doors. No distance and no masks, like we didn't just surpass 100,000 deaths nationwide from this virus. Sweet Basil is the only place I've seen that is actually taking this stuff seriously. You can't even enter the building, the door is blocked by a plexiglass barrier. They've put a little sliding window into the plexiglass guard, and only open it when necessary. My credit card was even returned to me in a napkin soaked in sanitizer! Nobody else has put so much effort in keeping themselves and their customers safe. I want to say thanks for caring, and I hope the entire family and crew at Sweet Basil make it through...
