What a store...asking questions of patrons gets you more help than asking employees. Remember to go early and still don't expect them to have items in the ad...six weeks in a row and I can not find half the items on my list. When I asked an employee what to do, she stated shop early if they are going to have the item, supply chain issues even when the item is local, and lack of employees to restock the shelves as I was told today. I asked about employee if she could check on an item and she stayed she had to get the eggs in the cooler as she wanted to leave on time. Some area of the store is a "no price" zone, guess you have to guess what the items cost....please see pictures. Even aisle displays are piled high with products waiting for someone to get something and everything tumbles to the floor...please picture.

The parking lot is poorly laid out. There's not much space between rows so I parked further out and pulled through. They carry very little organic produce so skipped this department. I was looking for packaged subs and sandwiches but none found (possibly cause day before holiday). Like other Pollys the prices are a bit high. I'm surprised no other grocery chains are here (like Buschs). Woman next to me at self checkout was quite disappointed that pollys doesn't accept OTC cards.

Service with a smile. I had been here once before, and this visit was no different. I was able to find what I needed, mostly Jiffy boxes in a greater variety than I get back home. They had some good deals on other items as well. And the clerk was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely shop here more often if it were in my neck of the woods.

Polly's Country Market in Chelsea is exceptional. I can't believe that they are actually affiliated with the store in Jackson! Chelsea store is clean, has a little bit of everything, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. (They also have the best donuts 🍩 😋 in the morning!!!) One time it was closing time and I had just gotten out of the Emergency Room and needed some otc medicine. The cashier went the extra mile and quickly found us what we needed and then checked us out at the register. The only 2 negatives I would have to say, is that the lighting in most of the store is a little bit dim, and the isles are not clearly defined because the ends are crooked and seem to go every which way. The exception is the produce section, where the lighting is better. 🙂

Polly's Country Market in Jackson on Spring Arbor Rd: I will die before I ever shop here again! The return policy is bad as it can possibly be! Which means you can't return anything, even if you have a receipt! Every staff that I met was grumpy and sarcastic and didn't want to be there, didn't want to help and didn't care about their job or who they came in contact with! The store lighting is dim and everything just seems dirty. God forbid you have to go to the bathroom, I wouldn't want to find out what it would be like in there... Actually I don't even think they have a public bathroom. I don't know, don't care. If you want special specific food items, go to Kroger! Kroger is as far to the great side of the scale as Polly's is to the negative side of the scale. For example Krogers is a 10 and Polly's Country Market in Jackson is a 0! Kroger has great lighting, great hours, Great return policy, great floral department, super awesome produce department and they are stocked full of unusual items that you won't find in other stores! Kroger's is fantastic! Go to Kroger, and don't go to Polly's Country...

Just had a terrible experience. We've been shopping here for years, but the closing manager this evening was horrible to us. We had a cart full of items, but there were no lanes open, just the self check. We used that as we had no other choice. The bagging area was full, so we began moving our items to make room for the rest. We were berated for doing so, but we had nowhere to put our items. The manager yelled at another worker to get another cart and to "help" us bag our items in a very demeaning way, as if we were too inept to bag our items. She had us move items into a different cart. As we're finishing, she yells to other customers that lanes were open while looking at us. They were not open. We finish checking out, and the manager yells at us about how we moved our items and where we were placing them in the bagging area again. We're about to pay, and she accuses us of stealing and checks the machine to make sure all of our items were there. They were. Just a horrible experience. We have shopped here for years. We've put up with many negatives over that time like understocked items, understaffing, reorganizing, etc. I've even paid for other customers' items here. And to then treat loyal customers horribly and accuse them of stealing? It's no wonder customers end up going to other grocery...

I just cannot get over how RUDE the employees here are. I stood waiting at customer service while a lady behind the counter just stood there moving papers around. When she finally acknowledged me (after I said something to her), she was not helpful at all. I was there to speak with the manager, and when I asked for her the girl told me she was on lunch. She couldn't tell me when she would be returning from lunch. When I asked if she could help me she at first told me no. Then she huffed and asked what I needed. Finally, after being zero help, she went to talk to the manager. She came back out and tells me "you were wrong about the price. We can't help you"

So I ask for a return (which is actually against the law. They clearly had the prices marked incorrectly), and she proceeds to process the return without saying a single word to me. She didn't say anything as I walked away, no "have a nice day" no "sorry we couldn't help you", nothing. I was not rude in any way, I never am. This woman has no right working in customer service. If I owned or managed this store and I saw an employee acting the way this lady did I would be completely...
