This place has gone downhill over time, like every nice place in the vicinity eventually does. More often than not, a lot of the sections of the store are in disarray. I rarely see aisles that are fully stocked and without product all over the floor, and actual trash on the shelves. The only thing that seems to be managed is the carts because there are always some available. The employees at the front of the store are usually not friendly and visibly annoyed, as if customers are not supposed to be checking out.. But they applied for the position of their own free will, the customers certainly didn't force them to get the job they are so annoyed with having to do. Anyone who is that frequently rude, or in a bad mood because the store they are working for is getting a lot of business (like it's supposed to) obviously shouldn't work in retail. At least the employees who stock items on the floor aren't mean like the people up front, if the rest of the employees could learn from them it would be a better store.
Even when you try to avoid interacting with the employees who clearly hate their jobs - but won't quit, for their sake and ours - they still insert themselves into everything to do with SELF checkout (which is either always broken or they are purposely keeping only 1 to 2 of the 6 stations open) even if you didn't ask them for help. And why they would not fix them or purposely have almost all of the self checkout stations closed, when the line for it is almost to the middle of the store, is beyond me.
It's very unfortunate that this is the closest Target to my residence, because now I will have to spend an extra 35 minutes to go to a different Target if I want to have an acceptable or normal shopping experience. Coming to this location will only be as a last resort when my time is...
Read moreBought 2 full swimsuits and 2 bikinis at City Avenue about a week ago. Came to Cheltenham to exchange 1 bikini and 1 swimsuit. The top of the bikini was not on the receipt--not my fault. Kellie (not a nice person) was indignantly stating she was trying to help me by getting my identification ....no I'm not giving my identification for the incompetence of a Target worker. We need to resolve this...she says she can't resolve unless I give her my identification. You are not going to treat me as if I stole these items, when I have a valid $377+ Target receipt. I gathered my items and went to the parking lot. I immediately called the store to speak with the manager---I was told they don't have one. I called the 800# and spoke with them and was on hold and transferred after I said I didn't want a gift card for a refund and I don't want to talk to Kellie. Told them I was going to call the local news and calling the police. That call was almost 2 hours long---RIDICULOUS!!!!! During the original purchase the bikini top wasn't scanned and the full swimsuit was scanned twice--resulting in double charging for one suit and not charging for the top. Finally, someone spoke with the store and told me that Ky would help me. I went back in the store and requested Ky. Ky came and easily understood what I was saying and fixed it in 5 minutes, without an attitude. Then I found out that KELLIE---with the attitude, is the manager.... TARGET YOU HAVE GOT TO DO BETTER. THE ONLY REASON I'M GIVING 2 STARS IS BECAUSE KY BROUGHT MY RATING FROM NEGATIVE 100 TO A POSITIVE TWO. KY GAVE...
Read moreIf a customer comes up to you and asks you where an item is located, don't just point somewhere and vaguely say "that way," when clearly I don't know where you're gesturing or where you're talking about. Obviously if I could have found the item myself I would have. You would think the employee would be helpful in helping me find said item. If you don't want to work here then don't but if you do choose to work here why not try to act like you're actually going to help the customer instead of acting like you can't be bothered. I generally have an upbeat and positive attitude when engaging with the employees that work in customer service because I understand they're more than likely not even making a living wage. As a former customer service employee I totally get that. However, what I never did is act like I could not be bothered when a customer comes up and asks a question. This employee didn't even bother to give me an aisle number or anything. I'm not saying you have to walk down the aisle with me,but if you would have at even given me the aisle number so I coud look myself that would have been very helpful. Instead you're too busy trying to get back to the conversation you were having with your associate and all you had to do was give me an aisle number and I would have been out of your way. After going up the down the aisles in the direction he wave his hand toward, I gave up and just left without purchasing. I won't be going to this particular Target again when there are plenty of others in the city that have above and beyond customer service and I...
