My daughter had a birthday party at this place a few years ago and it was great. When we went back today for an impromptu birthday gathering for her it was horrible.
Disclaimer: The young man and lady who were the only ones working were awesome considering their management. Now back to the business.
Most importantly, the women's room has no running sink water which you wouldn't know until after you have used the restroom. When staff were informed of the issue, they advised that they were aware and that we could use the men's room. However, a simple sign on the door advising young women to use the men's room or removal of the women and men signs to allow a unisex rest room would have sufficed. Considering the pandemic we just experienced and the fact that this is a business for children, it is a public health hazard to have a bathroom with no running water. Yet, management at this location has decided that the embarrassment of a sign is more important than the health of children which is really sad.
Additionally, this kids empire does not have "real" food and has decided to not allow customers to bring in outside food. When children are playing for an extended period of time, they get hungry. The only thing one can purchase from here is a box lunch that includes a peanut butter and jelly smuckers sandwich with a juice box, chips, beverages, and ice cream. My child does not eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and a bag of chips that you can buy for $0.50 cost $1.75. They also sale two liter soda's and gallon jugs of water. They did say we could order outside food and eat it at the benches near the door while we can clearly see that there was no one sitting in the massive seating area inside their arena. This is absolutely ridiculous! When asked if we could at least get some cups for our outside beverages since they sale two liter soda's and gallon jugs of water, we were told that cups were only for parties. I asked, if they would give cups to those who purchased their two liter sodas and/or water gallons, they said "NO" management said it was not allowed. Why sale the items then? Who drinks a two liter soda or gallon of water from the bottle??? It makes no sense.
Needless to say, these rules are most likely why the place was pretty empty these days. Management should really re-evaluate their pride and goals before someone either makes the health department shut them down or they continue to lose business for being...
Read morePlease DO NOT book your child’s birthday party here. I had the worst experience with this place. I arrived for my daughters party 15 mins early to set up and I explained to the manager that her father would be covering the remaining balance when he arrived. My guest started to arrive and were told to stand in a very long line instead of being able to come right in. When they got to the register they were told by the manager they can’t come in because I wasn’t there yet and I have to pay the balance. My family tried explaining to them that I’ve been there and the party started already. They called me to the front and the manager says in front of everyone “ you need to pay your balance or they can’t come in”. I explained to her that her and I already spoke and she said “ oh yeah…ok. Let them in”. The juice, soda, and water came to the table with no ice. One of the workers came to my reserved section and took a box that I had my daughters decorations, plates, cups and candle in and took it to the back without my knowledge. Found out it was put in the trash. I didn’t realize it was gone until we were ready to sing happy birthday. They looked everywhere and after waiting 20 min they found it in the back in their trash. The manager says to me “ well I still need y’all out by 5pm because I have another party using that area at 5:30pm. I explained to her that we would go over the time due to them taking my personal items. She said if we aren’t out by 5pm she would be forced to call the police. My daughters 1st birthday party was ruined. Please don’t come here…the staff are not trained and the manager is VERY rude and unprofessional. Outside of drinks and party bags I didn’t get anything offered in my package. So many other things happened but I would be...
Read moreHad a little family get together here on Saturday, as it was my sons birthday. The kids loved the play area and I love that it’s big enough for the adults to get in there with the smaller ones that want to play. I gave my review two stars because the staff made our experience absolutely horrible! That was most of our first time ever going to Kids Empire and I will never go back to this location. We did not know we couldn’t bring food in but we did see the signs when we entered. Before paying, we asked the staff if we could bring a birthday cake in just to sing happy birthday. The lady at the desk told us we could, so we pay and set up a table. After about 30 minutes a tall, slender guy walked up to our table (never introduced himself) and just looked at us for a bit, he’s there for some time and I have to say “Excuse me, can I help you?” His response “you can’t have food here.” So I let him know what happened at the register and his response was “well there’s signs all over this place.” Ok, fair enough, no problem. So mind you we rode the bus there 😒. So now i have to wait for one of our family members to come so we can put the cake in their car. So i put my coat over the cake until our other folks arrive. About 10 minutes later another employee comes walking by and she then tells us she needs our table, we have to move. Again just very rude, no introduction, manners, just nothing. That happened twice btw the second time we had to ask which tables we could sit at. I’m done at this point. I’m happy the kids had fun but never again. Btw we ended up singing happy birthday at Chic-fil-A 😊 and getting lunch there as well. They were...
