I came into this store with my husband and our two babies to Christmas shop for Flyers gear. The babies were in a double stroller, so I parked in the aisle directly next to the checkout counter to be clearly visible to the employees, as I know them to be extra vigilant of black shoppers. Even still, an older man came racing out of the back of the store to stand directly in front of me while I tended to my babies as my husband shopped. I greeted him with a "hello" and asked if he had any nice plans for Thanksgiving. He rudely replied "holidays are just another day" as he stared down my throat. I awkwardly gave my little one a few sips from her bottle as my husband shopped. Once my husband finished, he came over to notice the older man staring us down like common criminals, dropped the merchandise that he was going to buy, and we headed for the door. As soon as we began to depart, the older man swiftly returned to the back room. Never once did he ask if we needed assistance, smile, or break his stare. The experience was AWFUL and someone needs to have a serious conversation about racial profiling with that man.
