This is gonna be long winded.. Brought my car there in 2020 for an amplifier install. I am not new to car audio installation. I would normally do it myself but with this vehicle (Cadillac ct6) I did not feel like taking out my trunk liner to connect to the factory Bose amp, I wanted a “pro”, so I decided to go with them.
Everything seemed fine at first until about a year later, I started getting a buzzing sounds and speaker pops from time to time. I tried everything in my knowledge to find the source of issue, the only conclusion I came to was there is either something wrong with the amplifier or they hooked something up incorrect and time has shown something is wrong.
I contacted them to bring it back and take a look ( they claim to guarantee their work )! immediately the little guy that sits upfront was combative and hostile to my suggesting that if it’s not the amplifier then something is possibly wrong because of their install.( I was nice about it).
I explained what was going on and showed him what my stereo was doing. He claimed up and down that has nothing to do with what they did or how they hooked it up. It’s something electrical and he would have to charge me to find the problem! I left there feeling blown off and a little disrespected, I didn’t go back. I had paid over $1000 for this work!
I don’t drive the car much and the problem was intermittent from time to time so I putt it on the back burner, but then it started getting worse, more frequent and louder, and it started creating other minor electrical issues in the vehicle. Over the next few months I had been troubleshooting the problem again and double checking everything incase I missed something. I did everything I could to avoid a major disassembly of all the work they did, I started checking connections, speakers, power wire, grounds and nothing!
Then one day I finally had enough. I decided to remove all the things they did and start fresh, i wanted to do one more test on my amp before I took apart everything and start it over. I went to remove the amp from the cat to put in another car and see if the same Problems happened to confirm or not if it’s my amplifier. Again, I wanted to check this last possible issue before I took everything apart. Then bam!!! i discover by chance when my car was running, and the amplifier was on, I pulled out the ground wire to the amplifier and it stayed on! This is not supposed to happen!
That’s when I realized they grounded out my $968 amplifier. This rookie installation flaw created a ground loop leading to minor electrical issues along with sound distortion, buzzing & popping in my speakers! It also destroyed my very expensive amplifier. I could go on in greater detail, but I think you get the point. Think twice before you take...

But they're way more fun than than the dentist. They have upgrades from Basic to Just Nuts and they are excited and knowledgeable about all of it. I watched them work on a wish list for a guy who came in and said, up-front, that it would be a while before he would be financially ready to go. He just wanted a real idea of what was out there. With the most welcoming, casual vibe, Steve took him through all the Levels of Cool and brainstormed with him on what was possible for his particular vehicle and budget. He documented what they looked at and gave the write-up to the guy for long-term planning and decision-making. So smart and low-pressure. The team also spent a lot of time with a guy who needed some really specific conditions met for an upgrade for his and his wife's cars. They customized exactly what he needed, told him about some things they could do that had not occurred to him as possible and set up appointments to get it done immediately. The guy walked out with a smile on his face that Santa himself would have been proud of.
Because I chose to wait for them to complete the work rather than dropping my car off, I knew I would be there for a few hours, just waiting. Steve had information ready on walkable places for me to spend those hours and when I told him I had hoped to get some work done, he set me up with wifi and even a "desk" right there in the showroom. I was actually able to get real work done and set everything up for the coming week while I was waiting. Another bonus, they overestimated, rather than underestimated the time it would take to complete my upgrade, so they were done 30 minutes before the timeline they communicated.
My upgrade was super-puny compared to some of the ones I was hearing about, but you would have thought I was the only customer they had that day. When the car was ready, Steve accompanied me back out to the car, gave me a tutorial on how to get the most out of it and even thought to remind me, as I was leaving, to leave the heat on a little when I turn off my car during the winter so that the remote start gives me the toastiest return-on-iinvestment possible when deployed of a frosty morning.
The only downside of the experience is that now I "need" tinted windows and a...

By far the best experience I've had with any business in a long time. Jackson, Marc, Ray, and everyone at Imagine Audio are true professionals and masters of their craft. I've been struggling with noise issues in my audio system off and on for about two or three years. And it was electrical noise, or "white noise", which is the hardest type of noise to treat. It's caused me headaches, thousands of dollars, and many sleepless nights. I've been to 4 or 5 shops, switched out amplifiers, added the highest quality signal processors, bought super expensive RCA cables, installed noise filters, changed gain structure, tried different ground locations...you name it, i tried it. All to no avail... Fortunately Imagine Audio solved ALL my issues! Not only did they diagnose the problem, but they fixed it! And then tuned my system to the best it's ever sounded. They gave me a clear audio signal that doesn't distort at loud volume or sound muddy at all. I couldn't be happier! Like I said, I've been to 4 or 5 car audio installers in the PA/NJ area and they all seemed to rush you off the phone or do shoddy work or just couldn't do the job correctly. I honestly think that most shops are just interested in the "plug and play" approach. It seems that most installers these days just tap into your existing audio signal, add an amp, and send you on your way. The Imagine team knows everything about a sound quality (SQ) system. Especially if you need to retain your factory head unit. If you want a proper audio system installed or if you need someone else's screw-ups fixed, Imagine Audio is the place to go. If you want more than just a subwoofer enclosure tossed into your trunk or your speakers swapped or a remote start put in, this should be your last stop. If you want a high quality, audiophile sound system, this is the place. If you want factory integration with sound processing, signal adjustment, time alignment, sound deadening, non-clipping.... all that fancy car audio lingo that other shops have no clue about, Imagine Audio is where it's at! I could go on and on...I'm so happy with the end result. I went from wanting to trade in my car to complete elation like a kid on Christmas every time i start my car! The guys at Imagine Audio are awesome. I can't say enough...
