DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse — Local services in Chesapeake

I rarely write reviews, but I felt driven to after this visit. After spending hours shopping, I finally went to check out. A pretty young girl was working, and she was very personable, helpful and professional. We were discussing various things in life, and she eventually asked me if I was a dsw member; I said yes, and she said that in my online account (which I had NO idea about until she told me) that I had a 40% off coupon for boots, which low and behold, I I had a pair in my cart! I had never met her, asked her name (Taylor) and asked if she'd be embarrassed if I mentioned her in a Google review. She obliged, and made me very happy throughout the whole transaction. I doubt I'm the only customer she's helped, but thank you Taylor! You're wise beyond your years and I wish you the best in life.

June 2024 update- still the best shoe store ever. This is the closest one to me, which is hours away from my home. I bought two pairs of the same brand heels (they obviously looked different), the only difference was one pair you tied up with laces and the other pair you slipped on. They also had been sent to me looking used, especially on the bottom, but that didn't matter anyway because they were far too big! I had them in the trunk of my car to return, nicely wrapped and ready to go for months, and I finally got there to do it. I didn't realize until I looked at the online receipt just how long it had been (way over their 90 day return policy), but I think they could tell I loved the shoe, and I had happily kept the $115 pair that I bought in the same order. Point I'm trying to make is these two managers did not have to return these (absolutely beautiful) heels because it had been too long, but they did it, and I gravely appreciate it. Okay DSW is a shoe warehouse and I will tell you that it's got a lot of inventory,But if you're looking for a pair of shoes in Clearance so elsewhere especially if you are a guy. I go to DSW all the time and I always walk out empty handed because I look for quality footware and they never have what I'm looking for in Clearance. I will tell you that they do have a very large selection of women's clearance shoes. DSW also has a large selection of men's shoes that are did counted for a few bucks. Overall I will highly recommend that there are several other discount stores that have a whole lot of inventory and are definitely cheaper than the DSW. SO HEED MY ADVISE AND LOOK ELESEWARE FOR BETTER QUALITY AND EVEN MORE A MUCH LOWER PRICE.

I normally shop at this DSW for my sneakers and my experience has been good, but today it was horrible. The young lady Kiara who checked me out was very rude. She didn’t acknowledge me when I came up to the counter and then when she asked for my phone number I said i didn’t want to disclose it. She got an attitude and rung up my purchase, threw my receipt in the bag and walked away. I had to say thank you and she looked at me and said nothing.
