I've been to this shop several times and really can't say enough great things about it. The products, the shop itself, the aesthetic, and the people working there are all amazing. I was really happy to hear a local bookshop like this was coming to my area, and it has never disappointed. Megan has created a real oasis for book lovers.
I felt compelled to write a review after my experience at the one-year anniversary party today. I have chronic health problems that have resulted in mobility issues. I primarily walk with a cane and can't walk long distances or stand for an extended period of time.
I debated going to the event today because I knew it'd be really busy, and the lines would be long. I really wanted to go though and get some things, so I decided to try. The staff (and honestly every single person there, working or not) was so kind and accommodating. They helped me find things, so I didn't have to walk all over the store. It was a tight fit and would've been difficult to navigate with the cane. But most incredibly, one of the staff members volunteered to get in line for me, so I could sit down and wait for my turn at the register. I was worried that I was complicating things on such a busy day for them, but they honestly never made me feel bad or like a burden. It was all a bit chaotic, so I unfortunately didn't get the name of the two women who helped me, but I hope my "thank you's" conveyed how much I appreciated their kindess. I left feeling so happy and just really grateful. Today reminded me why the bookish community really...
Read moreIt's unfortunate to have such a cute little book store in my neighborhood that has such poor customer service. I visited the store after getting a pedicure next door. The person working didn't greet me when I came into the store but I thought it was because she was talking to another customer when I walked in. However, I stayed in the store for another 10 minutes after that customer left and the woman still didn't say anything to me. I perused the store as there were so many cute bookmarks and books that I loved. I saw items that I could also gift to friends who love to read but I couldn't spend money in a store where my presence was so blatantly ignored. I was the only customer in the store for minimally five to ten minutes and at no point was I spoken to. The woman even walked past me to go to the back room of the store and still said nothing. Cute stuff but customer service is not their...
Read moreGO VISIT THIS BOOK SHOP! The prices are comparable to big name book stores if not only a $1-$2 more but knowing that you're supporting a small local business & their insanely insanely good rewards programs makes it worth it! I only spent $14 and if i spent another idk maybe ten or less more dollars or soemthing I'd already be at a $5 reward. 🙌🏻 amazing atmosphere, the staff were so sweet and friendly. They also had a bin of donated items from a customer or fairyloot, bookish box, etc merch that they just let us pick from for free! Their variety of merch and totes and page overlays are also elite! So much to choose from. Only thing I wanted more of would be a larger enamel...
