What the hell are up with some of these employees? Like who is hiring people who can’t listen to simple orders? You need to shut down this place because how bad some of these employees can’t listen to orders. Was I speaking another language when I ordered? I said what I wanted about 3 times and made it very clear and yet my order was wrong and normally I wouldn’t make such a fuss, but this time I am a bit irritated since the ingredients I didn’t want in my order make me nauseous and I’m thinking this was done on purpose like how can you mess up this badly? I ordered a wrap without cheddar and a smoothie with dates & pineapple & banana without any added sugar and I stated that I wanted no sugar in the smoothie like 5 times and they made sure it was clear and it came out unusually fast but it had sugar and only banana, like obviously I didn’t ask for that and it was clear that the smoothie was meant to have dates and yet it didn’t have any or maybe I wasn’t told there wasn’t any dates, but where was the pineapple? Why was there sugar? I don’t want to take 30 grams of sugar and I’m a bit sensitive to sugar and that’s why I stated not to put sugar into the smoothie because it makes me sick. The wrap had cheddar when I stated for it not to have any cheddar like 5 times and I made it simpler and said no cheese to make sure we’re on the same page and make it clear yet there was still cheddar on the wrap and they made the wrap like 7 minutes after I placed the order but I’m a patient person but that is something that should be mentioned and almost no one was placing orders or correct me if people were placing online orders. I thought the location in south battlefield was bad, but this one and this experience takes the cake! Never had I have a worse experience than this. I am not coming back ever to a Chesapeake Tropical Smoothie Cafe location because these locations are outrageously absurd in Chesapeake. I suggest going to one in Norfolk since they actually make your smoothies better and don’t take as long. Also something to mention is the smoothies here...
Read moreIt was clear that the management of this establishment is concerned with one thing: running a business. I visited this store on National Flip-Flop Day and was quite disappointed with the customer service. I waited 20 minutes for my order. When I asked if this is the usual wait time, the manager said they "called" my name and nobody answered; my food was just sitting on the back counter. I witnessed a server delivering items to each table (even to tables without "calling" the name)-should I have expected less? The waitress clearly had a mousy voice-a server with better customer service would have spoken up as well as surveyed the entire restaurant, as we were seated in a less visible location. Many people were there, who ordered food, and were waiting to receive a free smoothie, including a mother with three young children. When the promotion started at 2:00 pm, the manager announced that everyone that was there for national flip-flop day should go outside and wait in line. It was so unfortunate that this mother had to leave her children inside to wait for their order, while she went outside to wait in line. The line was quite long and there was a portion of her wait that she couldn't see her children. In addition, a twenty-or-so member party that had been there waiting, and spent no small amount of money on lunch, were cut in line by customers who had just arrived. Another customer, who was there only minutes before the 2:00pm promotion, ordered a smoothie and moments after realized it was national flip-flop day, was met with a disingenuous sympathetic response from the manager, "Awww, yeah...it's today". After witnessing this debacle, I left-without my free smoothie. Customers are NOT a priority in this...
Read moreOrdered a cali breakfast flatbread with no meat. We got our order and went to the car and opened it up only to find it was just sausage and egg. It had meat, did not have cheese, avocado, or chipotle mayo... So in other words not at all what we ordered. Went back in to sort it out, they started remaking it and I specified that I wanted a cali breakfast flatbread, I just want that item, without the meat. I told them they must've mixed the order up because the first order had nothing that shouldve been in it like avocado. When I said that to the lady at the counter, she hollared to the man cooking it to make sure it had avocado. Finally I get my order and open it up and it is just avocado and egg. If the lady had said nothing I would've just been given an egg flatbread. What part of Cali breakfast flat bread screams just egg? Felt bad for the lady and just gave up after that as I was already in the car. I guess they just don't bother to read what's in anything on the menu. However I can confirm that not everything on that board is a plain egg and...
