This place is SO cool. Tons of candy and also unique drinks. Why 4 stars rather than 5? As you walk in the door to the left, there is a platform that sticks out. There is nothing on it so it appears it’s there for no reason. The edge is a bit sharp too. My son tripped on it and fell to the ground and left with a skinned elbow and mark on the side of his chest, by his ribs. Of the 15 minutes we were there, we also observed 3 boys come in, one of which also tripped on it, but luckily didn’t fall to the ground or he would’ve wiped out the kid in front of him. Twice in 15 minutes, i’d say it’s a hazard that someone will end up really getting hurt on. Imagine if someone’s head hit that. My son sat on the ground for a minute.. someone came over and there was really no sorry or anything. They were more concerned with putting the candy back on the shelf he dropped when he fell. I’ve waited years for an it’sugar store to come to the STL area and it’s finally here! The store is clean with shelves of candy as far as the eye can see. Unlike some other it’sugar locations, this one is quite large with a great selection of candies and candy themed novelty gifts. The service was great as well! We were immediately greeted by a friendly employee who asked if we had any questions or if we were looking for something specific. Overall, it’s a very fun store. The only real disappointment is that some of their items are priced higher than other stores. It’s one of those stores where the “experience” of shopping there seemingly demands an inflated price. However, it’s definitely worth visiting even if you don’t plan on buying anything and especially if you’ve never been before. You’re in for a treat! 🍭 I’m certainly looking forward to...
