I really can't understand why this store has such good reviews! As many other comments have mentioned, receptionists are rude and irresponsible and have no idea what their duties are! I called on Saturday, June 23, to inquire about cupping. The operator was a polite and patient girl (who spoke Mandarin). She said that their masseuse could provide cupping service and explained some of the preparations before cupping in detail. I was happy to make an appointment for cupping service on Monday, June 26. On Sunday (6/25), I had my period. I knew that girls during pregnancy or menstruation were not allowed to do cupping therapy, so I called them to reschedule and I also wanted to know whether I could do cupping immediately after my period or wait a few more days to do it. So I called them again, the operator was a boy (who spoke Mandarin), he said he didn't know, he could ask the masseur for me and then call me back, but I didn't get his his call on Sunday. I was completely not angry at that time, I understood that everyone was busy and might have temporarily forgotten my business, so I called them again on Monday (6/26), The operator is a girl (does not speak Mandarin). Our conversation is as follows
Me: "I called yesterday about when I can reschedule for the next cupping session, whether I should make an appointment immediately after the end of my period or wait for a few more days"
She: "What's your phone number"
Me: "xxx-xxx-xxxx"
She: "Your appointment today is at 1:00 PM"
Me: “I called yesterday, I had my period, so I might not be able to do cupping ; I just want to ask should I reschedule the appointment immediately after the end of menstruation or wait a few more days? "
She:" If you want to reschedule, just let me know when you want to come”
Me:" May I ask you to help me ask your massage therapist, if she recommends doing it immediately after the end of menstruation or wait a few days to do it. I know that cupping during menstruation is not good for the body, I am not a professional, I would like to ask you to help me ask your massage therapist, please give me their a professional advice, I will reschedule according to their advice”
She: “ it’s up to you”
What do you mean by “its up to me”? It's like when someone breaks a bone and asks the doctor when I can get back on my feet, and the doctor says it's up to you
????? Hey Miss, I mean as a front desk: your job is not only pick up phone or make schedule, but also provide customer service, I understand you are not familiar with the cupping, but is that hard for you take 1 minute to ask your therapist? Or you just don’t understand English comes out of my mouth. So I feel like, ok, maybe I was not explaining clearly, and she did not get me. I can call later if there is someone who can speak mandarin.
So I called again on Tuesday (6/27), and the person who answered the phone was a girl (who spoke Mandarin). I told her everything that had happened, and she did not apologize from beginning to end, she said th:“our massage was not clear because they are not doctors. "My God, as a masseuse who can cupping, if it is not clear whether cupping can be performed during menstruation and pregnancy, I had serious doubts about their expertise and I had serious doubts that they weren't licensed in the cupping field, so I said, "Well, does your masseuse have a cupping license?" and guess what this girl said, she said, "I'm not the boss. How do I know?"
Very rude and not professional at all, I mean if the business owner can see this review, please train your front desk. And also, you should know, doing cupping without license is illegal by...
Read moreThe inside of the facility was clean and nice looking. The front staff member was very informative and professional. I didn’t really enjoy my foot massage at all. I had high hopes for this place but was disappointed. I purchase the special that was 58 dollars. I barely felt any pressure on my feet. I did let the staff member know I wanted medium pressure for my feet and the other body parts such as my neck, arms, and shoulder to be light because I just had a massage a few days prior. I really wanted to try this place mainly for my feet but I was told the other body parts were included. If I could have just did my feet that would have been ideally but the staff member said there weren’t any massages that were solely just feet. He also assure me that they could focus more on my feet and give little time to the other parts of my body that was included in the massage. The gentleman that did my massage was polite and ask me a few times was I okay during the massage. He didn’t apply any pressure and it really didn’t feel like much pressure to my feet. I also didn’t like the set up. The room I was place in had a bright light that just was bothersome. When you typically get a massage the lights are dim or off but my masseuse did put a towel over my eyes so that helped it out a lot. After the massage, he did walk me to the front and made me a cup of water. I don’t like places that have tip signs on display its kind of a turn off to me. If you want people to pay more for massages incorporate that in the price of the massage. Don’t advertise how much a person should give a person for a tip. I truly hate places like that. I didn’t like how my masseuse waited around for a tip as if he knew he was getting a tip like it was almost as if it was expected. I don’t believe in tipping if I didn’t enjoy my services. So when I got to the front he was still waiting by the door for a tip. So after I paid the change was 2 dollars and I gave that to the front desk guest and he handled it to the my masseuse and when my masseuse seen the tip he started speaking to the front desk person in another language. It instantly made me feel uncomfortable! I don’t mind leaving a tip if it’s wonderful service. So I ended up giving more of a tip which was a total of 7 dollars. I was so confuse as to how much they want the tip to really be 20, 30, 40 dollars? I don’t like places like that at all! I definitely won’t be back or...
Read moreI bought a gift for myself and my partner, we paid through Groupon for 90 minutes of a regular massage, plus a sleep relaxetion massage, I specifically wanted them to first do one package of services, then the second. because I first wanted them to give me a full body massage, and after the final part of the legs they did the second package, thereby repeating the massage. When I was lying down for the massage I could not understand why they were doing a massage of one muscle group for so long, it turned out that the workers WITHOUT ASKING us combined 2 packages of services, thus each part of the body took 40 minutes, which I did not want, which I was not asked about, and for which I separately bought two separate packages, for me it was very important, because I love it so much. I indicated that I have discomfort in my right wrist (I broke my finger 2 weeks ago) assuming that they either will not massage this area, or will do it very envelopingly and gently, but the staff decided to ignore this - and massaged my right hand as hard as the left. Without asking me, they decided to do a circular massage on my toes using nails, which I did not like because I have very sensitive skin, in addition to that, in the correspondence with the reception, I indicated a request for silence and no talking between the staff because we like to sleep during the massage, our massage therapists talked and moved chairs very loudly, and this is understandable, but it was also very loud outside the office, loud laughter and conversations of the staff were heard, and since there were no doors. Also the room was very cold and we had to ask for a second blanket which didn't help, the beds themselves are a flat hard cold surface with no heating which made my back hurt. When we asked the staff to finish early because of the above, my partner's male massage therapist laughed at me and pointed at me while I was sitting there undressed, a little later when I was talking to the female receptionist the man stood behind her and laughed (they explained this to us by saying that he doesn't speak English which doesn't make any sense, my partner also doesn't speak English and works in the service industry - but that doesn't give him the right to laugh at customers and point at them) if I could give this place a zero I would...
