I have been going to Reform Studio for about three months now, and hereâs my honest opinion: Itâs hands down the best Pilates studio I have ever tried! Having explored various studios in Chicago and the suburbs, none compare to the level of expertise, energy, and overall experience at Reform. The best part of the studio is the incredible instructors. Each one brings their unique style and energy, making every class special: ⢠Tope: She is the essence of elegance. Her classes are challenging, but what stands out is how she often does the entire session with the class, talking us through it effortlessly (without ever losing her breath!). Her playlists are also amazing! ⢠Christina: Her energy is infectious! She truly pushes you during class and keeps you motivated. Every session with her feels fresh, with new challenges to keep you engaged. ⢠Quinn: Be prepared for your abs to cry, but itâs so worth it when you see the results! Quinn is vibrant, funny, and full of energy. Her jokes will keep you smiling even when your core is on fire. ⢠Shannon: She is a ray of sunshine! Her early morning classes are the perfect way to start your day, with her calming voice guiding you through a workout thatâs both challenging and rewarding. ⢠Jennifer: As the owner, Jennifer sets the tone for excellence. Her playlists are fantastic (sheâs a BeyoncĂŠ fan, enough said lol!), That tells you everything you need to know about her vibe: confident, empowering, and full of energy. Her classes strike the perfect balance of challenge and fun. I recommend trying classes with different instructors, as each has a unique teaching style. Whatâs great is that they tailor their exercises to suit everyone, from beginners to advanced, so youâll feel challenged no matter your level. The one-hour classes fly by because theyâre so engaging....
Read moreThank you for an amazing workout this morning! From the moment I was warmly greeted by owner Jennifer to when I left, I felt very welcomed and well taken care of. This was my first time doing Pilates, and Christina was a fantastic instructor who, without missing a beat, explained and demonstrated how to use the machines throughout the entire workout. She did a great job of keeping the pace moving for regulars while also creating a confidence-building environment for first timers. The instructor was encouraging and provided helpful modifications to progress or soften moves as needed.
I loved the location, community partnerships, open reception area, high ceilings in the studio, and state-of-the art machines. Every detail was considered and provided to make this an enjoyable experienceâeasy check-in, lockers with built-in locks and a charging station inside so I could charge my phone while in class, water bottle filling station, towels, just the right flow of cool air to stay comfortable through the entire workout, motivational music, and lighting kept low enough to encourage relaxation and focus. After my workout, I headed to the changing room and showers, which were thoughtfully stocked with high-quality Kiehlâs shampoo, conditioner, and body wash as well as towels, hair ties, dry shampoo, mirrors, and hair dryers. They even have workout gear for purchase if you forgot something, so I was able to buy a pair of grip socks for the workout.
As I was traveling for business and needed to start my day with an invigorating workout and then clean up and be ready to go for the dayâs meetings, this studio hit the spot: accessible from public transit, welcoming, inclusive, and revitalizing. Reform Studios, thank you for such a great first experience...
Read moreI had high hopes for Reform Studios. My husband and I purchased a one month membership. I have a temporary but serious medical issue and I was told pilates may be a solution for me. Turned out it exacerbates the medical issue I had and I ended up in the ER for 10 hours. As a result, I asked Reform Studios to pause our one month membership (we would have had about two weeks or so left on it). This would have been very easy for them to do. They could have given us a two week pass or something so we could use it when I've recovered but they refused. Most hours of the day, there is no one in the studio. But - they heartlessly - still refused. They apologized and wished me well (right!). My husband is 6 feet tall and, as a beginner, struggled with the reformer. One of the instructors, Ashley, rolled her eyes at him as if to let him know he "didn't belong." At the beginning, I was interested in a monthly year-long membership but not at a place without any heart. It's not good salesmanship either to turn someone off of your business so thoroughly. Truly disappointed in this place. There are many other places with a heart. I also could just buy a reformer myself - which is much cheaper than a...
