I HAVE ONE QUESTION. WHAT HAPPENED TO THIS STORE AND ITS HIGH END BRAND??? I RECALL THE DAYS OF GOING HERE AND ITS OLD LOCATION AND THE EXPERIENCE BACK IN THE DAY WAS JAW DROPPING. WHO HERE REMEMBERS THE LOCATION THAT WAS HOUSED EITHER ACROSS THE STREET OR BLOCK AWAY FROM THE ORIGINAL STORE THAT WAS A SAKS FIFTH AVENUE STORE JUSTS FOR MEN?? I WENT TO SAKS RIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS BECAUSE I HADNT BEEN IN YEARS. I WAS SEEKING TO ORDER SOME MERCHANDISE ONLINE AT THE STORE. I CAME IN THE STORE AND WAS SHOCKED BY THE APPEARANCE OF THE STORE. THE STORE LOOKED ORDINARY REGULAR âCARSON P. SCOTTS OR MACYS STATE STREETâ NOT TO HIGH END EXPECTATIONS. GOING TO STORES LIKE THIS WERE A BIG DEAL AND âEXPERIENCEâ PER SE. IT WAS ALL ABOUT MEETING THE DEMANDS AND HIGH EXPECTATIONS FOR THEIR HIGH END MONEY HAVING CLIENTELE. SO I GO UP IN THERE BEFORE CHRISTMAS AND NO ONE GREETED ME EXCEPT ONE WOMAN. THE SAME WOMAN WHO WAS GOING TO END UP HELPING ME PUT MY ONLINE ORDER THROUGH. THREE DAYS BEFORE THE CHRISTMAS WEEKEND AND NO ONE WAS IN THE STORE. I GO TO THE SHOE DEPARTMENT WHICH LOOKED BARE COMPARED TO THE OLD DAYS WAS JUSTS TOTALLY EMPTY OF SALES ASSOCIATES. THERE WASNT A SALES PERSON IN SITE TO SALE A CUSTOMER SOME SHOES. THERE WAS ONE MAN SITTING DOWN LOOK LIKE HE HAD BEEN THERE FOR A MINUTE ON THE PHONE. MY ORDER FROM THE WEBSITE CONSISTED OF TWO PAIR OF SHOES AND A DYSON HEATER. SO NO ONE IN THE SHOE DEPARTMENT THEREFORE I WILL BE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE ELSE. I GO INTO A HIGH END CLOTHING SECTION WHICH IS RIGHT NEXT TO THE SHOE DEPARTMENT. THE SALES CONSULTANT DIDNT REALLY ACKNOWLEDGE ME AND WAS HELPING ANOTHER GUESTS. THAT IS FINE BUT WHEN I ASKED HER FOR ASSISTANCE WITH MY ONLINE ORDER. SHE LOOKED WORRIED SHOCKED DISMAYED AND CONFUSED BUT POLITELY SAID âI WILL HELP U AFTER I TAKE CARE OF THIS CUSTOMERâ. THAT WAS OKAY AS WELL BUT THEN SHE DISAPPEARED AND SO DID THE CUSTOMER. IT WAS STRANGE AND WEIRD AT THE SAME TIME. AND NOW THERE WAS NO ONE ELSE TO GO TO ON THE FLOOR, I MEAN THE WHOLE FLOOR WAS COMPLETELY DEVOID OF ALL SALES ASSOCIATES. GO ONE FLOOR DOWN AND THE SAME THING HAPPENED AS FAR AS NO SALES ASSOCIATES AVAILABLE. SAY WHAT, THIS IS INSANE AND BELOW EXPECTATIONS OF WHAT SHOULD BE EXPECTED FROM HIGH END RETAILING??!! SO AFTER GOING TO TWO FLOORS AND RECEIVING NO ATTENTION WHATSOEVER - VERY DISAPPOINTED BY THIS TIME I DECIDED TO TAKE MYSELF BACK TO THE FIRST FLOOR - INEXCUSABLE!!! SO I ENDED UP FINDING THE SALES ASSOCIATE WHO GREETED ME AT THE BEGINNING BY THE NAME OF CATHERINE. SHE WAS NICE AND HELPED ME (TREMENDOUSLY) RIGHT ALONG WITH ONE OF THE STORE MANAGERS (THINK HER NAME IS LIZ) WHO I RECALL WORKING WITH AT BLOOMINGDALES BACK IN 2019. I WAS CONSTANTLY THANKING CATHERINE BECAUSE THERE WERE SOME PROBLEMS WITH THE SYSTEM PROCESSING THE ORDER. EVENTUALLY EVERYTHING WENT THROUGH AND I WAS ABLE TO GET MY ORDER PROCESSED AND SENT TO MY HOME ADDRESS. AGAIN MY THANKS HAD A LOT TO DO WITH HER HELPING ME, BEING PATIENT, IN MAKING MY ORDER HAPPEN AND THE FACT SHE WAS AVAILABLE TO BEGIN WITH. BECAUSE THERE WAS NO ONE AVAILABLE FROM THE OTHER FLOORS, ALL THOSE COMMISSIONED WORKERS, NON EXISTENT TO HELP ME PLACE A $1,400 DOLLAR ORDER THAT DAY - NOT GOOD IN MY EYES, NOT GOOD AT ALL. THREE âď¸ FOR CATHERINE SHE SAVED THE DAY; OTHERWISE THIS STORE WOULD HAVE RECEIVED NO âď¸...
Read moreI will never enter into a Saks Fifth Avenue again! On yesterday I decided to drive 45 miles into the city to return a ball gown I'd ordered online. I walked into the store expecting a smooth transaction, considering I walked in with my return and receipt along with a positive mental attitude. However, I approached Chris a thin, Caucasian male, blonde short hair with glasses whom I assumed had enough intelligence that I could ask a question. I asked him nicely for customer service(my intent was not to offend, I'm just asking a fairly simple question) but he responded as if I'd offended him, "WE DO NOT HAVE CUSTOMER SERVICE!" I says, ok well may you help me with my return, he says, yes let's see what you have. I opened the box, removed the dress and he proceeded to the back, not excusing himself but, I assumed he'd be right back. He returns and, this is when I became OFFENDED... he says where is the card that came with it, a $50.00 gift card, I responded explaining that I hadn't received a gift card yet, he corrected me and stated, "it should've been inside the box", but it wasn't! Today, Monday 29 July 2019 I want that rude Associate At Saks Fifth to know that I were truthful when I told him that it DID NOT COME IN THE BOX! If I just returned a damn $550.00 dress, Chris surely I don't want a $50.00 gift card from you or anyone else. Saks Fifth, not that it matters but, I'll never shop here again! Lastly, he still repeated it again prior to me signing my return, "Yeah, I apologize for that but the cards are in the box with the purchase". I signed and left and explained to my husband we're definitely going to Neiman Marcus or Bloomingdales. I do not understand why sales associates conducts themselves as the owner, you're a sales person, period. Also STOP judging people of color as though we're all the same, I weren't attempting to take a 50.00 card... your manager Dawn who assisted walked out too without even acknowledging me but walked right past, this is why I shop ONLINE! Iâve also provided the proof that my card was received via...
Read moreI recently had a deeply disappointing experience with Saks Fifth Avenue's customer service and refund process. I purchased a pair of sandals that I didnât like and promptly returned them by mail, which were received by Saks on July 10, 2024. Despite the swift return, Saks has yet to process my refund, which exceeds $700.
I have contacted customer service multiple times, only to be given the runaround. On Friday, July 26th, a representative assured me that I would receive my refund by Tuesday, July 30th. When I called on July 30th, I was told the refund would be processed by August 2nd. It has now been over 14 days, and I still havenât received my refund.
During my last call, I spoke with a representative named Carlos, who promised to escalate the issue to their financial team and assured me that someone would follow up via email. As a gesture for the inconvenience, he offered a $50 gift card, which does little to mitigate the frustration of having my money withheld for this long for a purchase over $700.00 dollars.
I finally received my refund on August 1, 2024, but Saks failed to include the tax in the return and only refunded $690. This prompted me to call back customer service, and I was advised it will take up to 20 more days to receive the taxes I paid on the purchase back. Who and what business doesn't provide the entire refund amount on a purchase?
This experience is utterly unacceptable. I am appalled by the lack of service I have received at Saks. Holding onto customers money after a proper return of an unworn and undamaged item and not providing the tax amount in the refund is a serious breach of trust. I am beyond disappointed with Saks Fifth Avenue and will not be shopping here in the...
